[Rei Ayanami cosplay] Neon Genesis Evangelion, the white angel on the hospital bed

The shooting location for this time was directly chosen as a hospital ward theme studio, and the scene arrangement of Guangyu Photography Self-Portrait Studio met expectations very well. To closely fit the character, I chose a pure white strapless top and shorts for the clothing, wrapped white gauze around my neck and right lower leg to create a sickly vibe, and wore a pair of huge white feather wings on my back. The venue was equipped with a real hospital bed, IV pole, blood bags with the word "BLOOD", and a medical cart, with transparent plastic film laid on the floor. The base color of the environment is a chilly cyan-blue, which, paired with Nord's photographic lighting, presents an overall cold and sci-fi texture.

In the shooting of this set of pictures, the application of body language and props is the focus. Knees hugged on the hospital bed, kneeling, and single-arm extension are all about searching for a sense of inorganic fragility. Although the wing props are quite heavy, the posture can be maintained during shooting through the exertion of the waist and back muscles. The foreground composition of the blood bags and medical instruments adds a sense of layering to the frame. The action of reaching a hand into mid-air is an attempt to capture the character's understanding of the boundary between life and dreams. During the shoot, we needed to frequently adjust the luminous surface of the monitor, so that the blue cold light hit right on the facial contours and bandages, avoiding excessive reflection.

The tightness of the bandage wrapping was also adjusted multiple times to ensure both beautiful lines and a medical feel, and the bandages around the knees and ankles should not look bloated. The overall color tone of the photos leans towards cold and aloof, with post-processing focusing on retaining the skin texture and the layers of the feathers. The light and shadow segmentation on the hospital bed, coupled with the reflection on the floor film, are all strengthening that atmosphere existing between reality and illusion. When standing in the hospital ward set, that cold and quiet aura naturally flowed out, which also made the entire shooting process very focused.
