The venue chosen was a photo base converted from an abandoned factory in Guiyang, where concrete floors and exposed beams naturally carried a cool, rugged texture. The lighting wasn't excessively filled; high-contrast side-rim backlighting sculpted the jacket's silhouette nicely. The orange-and-gray color-blocked sleeveless jacket paired with the black-and-white graphic undershirt exhibited rich layers and visual weight before the camera. The wig was treated with a royal blue gradient with high vibrance, yet it didn't overexpose under overhead lights, keeping hair strand textures crisp. The lake-blue contacts formed a great cool-toned harmony with the wig, bringing out a clean, sharp, and focused gaze.
A lot of preparatory work was done beforehand, particularly wig trimming and fixing. A layered royal blue short wig truly tests a wig stylist's craftsmanship; if the hair is too silky smooth it looks fake, so a natural, textured roughness must be trimmed in. When wearing it, I carefully adjusted the front bangs so they framed the face without obscuring the eyes too much, ensuring the gaze remained bright in photos. Resting hands on hips with a slight three-quarter turn conveyed a sense of mastery. Then there was the classic peace sign pose accompanied by the original quote: "I think the plan can be changed, Brother!" That slightly teasing confidence is precisely the unconventional charm of this Proxy in Zenless Zone Zero. Finally, that one-handed salute shot—even without a smile—still exuded a calm, composed aura.
The sock material was chosen thoughtfully; to balance breathability with a matte finish, I selected a micro-compression cotton fabric. Paired with smooth platform sneakers, although lacking the intense glare of glossy tights, its texture aligns more with the utilitarian style of the original design while being comfortable for walking without feeling overly tight. We used burst shots to capture candid, natural moments. Because the concrete floor has low reflectivity, facial fill-light was essential to prevent shadows. The photographer used a large-aperture lens, keeping sharp focus on my eyes even in full-body shots, giving the frame spatial depth and crystal-clear details in these Cosplay convention photos.
The vibe at Guiyang CT is great for connecting with peers, and fellow enthusiasts passing by offered pose suggestions. For example, pointing a finger to the corner of my mouth in a thinking pose was a spontaneous on-site idea. Facing the lens, I relaxed and imagined myself as the Proxy who just woke up, gearing up to tackle commissions. This immersion felt far more organic than rigidly imitating a specific pose. For fabric textures, the outer waterproof shell and inner elastic lining formed different crease patterns when moving, which yielded rich dimensions under proper lighting. The miniskirt is cut quite short, but with built-in safety lining, leg raises and slight twists were completely manageable.
