[Orphie Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Tactical Style Shoot Showcase

From my personal shooting perspective, I'm sharing a set of official Zenless Zone Zero Orphie cosplay photos. Combining the game's sci-fi and tactical style outfit setting, I strove for high accuracy in both costume and props.

The actual shooting day was much more tiring than imagined. Although this gear doesn't look as bulky as heavy armor, the thickness of the leather, the weight of the metal accessories, plus several layers of straps give it quite a bit of weight on the body. To present the character's crisp, sharp combat stance in front of the lens, I had to keep my core tight at all times while posing. Especially for waist-twisting moves that required force, as well as low-angle shots with tilted compositions, constantly micro-adjusting my center of gravity was necessary to stay natural yet full of tension.

Regarding costume details, I chose a short leather jacket paired with a bright yellow neckerchief—this high-contrast color design is very eye-catching. The white thigh straps combined with black over-the-knee long socks not only faithfully recreate the visual highlights of the game character, but also accentuate leg length and body proportions under the dark post-production lighting. The footwear features chunky black-and-yellow Martin boots paired with black leather gloves, pulling the overall tactical style outfit to the maximum. As for the hair, the wig's orange-red tone glows with a beautiful texture under warm lights, especially when paired with the large black headphones featuring a cat-ear design, making the character instantly recognizable.

As for props, the short blade featured light-up effects, paired with orange-red special effect lighting and scattering sparks, delivering a mind-blowing visual impact. The handgun prop was also solidly constructed, with a realistic heft in hand that, when combined with light effects and smoke, created an authentic battle atmosphere. On set, we used a spark machine; capturing flying sparks really tested the photographer's timing, and taking these dynamic shots under proper safety measures took considerable effort. Additionally, the industrial-style control console with various knobs and buttons in the setting matched the character's lore background perfectly, where dark lighting combined with orange-red rim lighting separated the character cleanly from the background, creating strong visual depth.

Actually, in this set of photos, my absolute favorite is the sitting posture in photo #4. This composition captures the character's facial expression while displaying details of the costume, legs, and props wonderfully; the center of gravity is also balanced, making it ideal as the cover image. A lot of thought went into post-processing as well, such as compositing smoke and lighting effects and optimizing spark trails—all aimed at enhancing the realism of dynamic motion capture so the photos don't look like dry poses, but rather as if true energy is flowing.

Before the lens, I tried my best to grasp the character's confident composure. Compared to simply pursuing pretty pictures, deeply understanding and portraying the character's unique traits is where the true joy of cosplay photography lies. Being able to cross dimensions into reality and execute these ideas alongside professional photography concepts made the whole process immensely fulfilling and challenging as part of the Zenless Zone Zero Creator Incentive Program.
