On the first day of the Guangzhou COC03 anime convention, these Furina cosplay Convention photos were finally sorted out. The blue-dominated dress paired with white shorts and a ruffled scarf, along with that iconic wide-brimmed hat, gives the overall styling a very clean texture under outdoor natural light. The white crescent decoration on the hat brim, the subtle patterns on the jacket, and the gold embossed gauntlets on the cuffs form the visual focal points of this outfit.
To suit the character's playful yet elegant aura, I chose a translucent base makeup, while light blue contact lenses and orange-toned blush balance out the cold-toned outfit's distant feel. The wig was a primary focus this time: white-to-light-blue gradient long curly hair needed a voluminous, airy feel without getting overly frizzy, so it maintains its silhouette while walking.
During shooting, because the ground was light gray tiles and the background had green trees and blue sky, the diffuse light made the outfit's blue look grounded without overexposure. For poses, I tried several dynamic postures—like lifting one leg while opening my arms, or holding my hat with one hand while turning back sideways—adding rich visual dimension to the overall framing.
The biggest challenge with this costume was securing accessories: the sapphire pendant on the chest and the waist bow required strong structural support, otherwise they would tilt after just a few steps. The combination of black thigh straps and ankle boots was also key to strengthening silhouette lines, with the folds of white leg warmers tucked neatly at the boot opening for a crisp visual effect.
The convention venue was actually quite crowded, so capturing such clean backgrounds was thanks to the photographer finding just the right angles for Anime-style photography. Post-processing was kept minimal, preserving the fabric's original texture and the hair's smooth color transition. Although wearing a heavy jacket and hat outdoors was a bit hot, seeing the final output made it completely worth it.
The atmosphere at Guangzhou COC03 was amazing, meeting many fellow fans to exchange thoughts on character interpretations. Every cosplay is a re-interpretation of a character's temperament—from wig styling and makeup palette to body language nuances, every step impacts the final presentation. I hope these Convention photos let everyone appreciate the subtle craftsmanship in this design, serving as a rewarding milestone for my recent preparations.
