[Cissia Cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Pink Devil: Studio Portrait Record

Having just wrapped up this Cissia Cosplay shoot, I wanted to quickly review the production details while the styling is still fresh in mind.

The visual punch of this outfit stems primarily from its bold chromatic contrast. The vibrant pink halter crop top is eye-catching, emblazoned with white lettering across the chest and accented by a green-and-white braided cord at the collar. To balance the vividness of the upper half, the bottom is paired with a black leather corset and a pleated miniskirt. The corset features black leather spliced with dark blue diamond quilting, studded with golden rivets and centered with a metallic V-shaped accent, while the pentagram buckle on the belt adds tangible quality. Wearing it provides an intense cinching effect that sculpts the waistline cleanly, though it naturally restricts bending forward. The arms feature white detached sleeves merged with black leather bracers, echoing the lettering and rivet motifs to elevate combat readiness. On the legs, black Thigh-high socks accented by straps with gold rings and pink buckles visually elongate proportions, delivering a distinct 'sweet-and-cool' edge.

For the wig, blonde blunt bangs with flipped ends required generous amounts of styling spray to preserve that airy volume. White fuzzy scrunchies and black bows on both sides of the crown inject signature cuteness. The makeup centered around Red colored contact lenses, paired with red-toned eyeshadow to sculpt deeper eye contours. A black choker detailed with a silver lightning-bolt pendant served as a standout accent in close-up shots.

The handheld prop was a long-handled staff. It features a hollow gold diamond headpiece and a black shaft accented with pink nodes and white typographic details. The staff has considerable weight, requiring sustained core and arm tension to hold steadily between frames, leaving my arms quite fatigued by the end.

The studio setting was a contained space utilizing Godox softboxes against a neutral gray backdrop. To highlight the distinct sheen of each fabric, the gaffer added a rim light from the side, cleanly bringing out the gloss of the black leather and the glint of the metallic hardware. Concurrently, the key light's ratio was softened to prevent the pink top from blowing out under harsh reflection.

When posing, I leaned into the character's aloof yet subtly tsundere temperament—keeping my gaze level or slightly downcast to evoke a pre-battle stance in harmony with the staff. The layering across this look—from supple fabric to structured leather and cold metallic hardware—translated with rich visual texture on camera. While demanding physically, seeing the raw frames directly from the sensor made every ounce of preparation deeply worthwhile.
