This Bridal Firefly that I cosplayed at the 20th World Line Anime Convention really hit my aesthetic perfectly. From the wig styling to the costume details, everything tried its best to restore that dreamlike yet cool temperament. When doing makeup, I specifically emphasized the layers of the eye makeup, which, paired with the silver wig and light purple colored contact lenses, looked exceptionally translucent under the venue's flashlights. The design of this dress is very sophisticated, with tulle intertwined with lace, adorned with pearl chains; the drape of the skirt hem while walking is especially nice. To capture an ethereal effect, the photographer Nanhe took several dynamic snapshots, precisely capturing even the curvature of the billowing skirt. This yellow rose bouquet in my hand was also specially matched by the prop team, creating a very comfortable visual contrast with the overall mint green tone. The lighting at the convention venue was complex, but Teacher Nanhe handled it very cleanly with flashlights and backlighting, which both highlighted the silhouette of the person and prevented the background from being too distracting. Shooting this type of character with a dreamlike style actually puts the extension of actions to the testβit can't be too stiff, and one needs to try to express the character's state of having both vulnerability and determination. Although I was very tired after standing for most of the day for this set of convention photos, seeing the final images made it truly satisfying. The theme of Bridal Firefly itself carries a gentle sense of destiny, and being able to convey this atmosphere through cosplay is the greatest joy for me.
