[Firefly cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail 3rd Anniversary, limited return at the offline birthday party

Attending the Honkai: Star Rail Birthday Party for its 3rd anniversary was so atmospheric, and I decided to complete this offline Anime convention check-in in a Firefly cosplay look. While preparing this outfit, I specifically tweaked the hairstyle and accessories to match a white sailor collar top, a gray-and-black plaid pleated skirt, paired with white over-the-knee socks and black leather shoes. Overall, it looked very refreshing and fit the character's temperament well. Whether going to an anime convention or this kind of offline event, outfit comfort is key, making Coser daily life much easier when walking and taking photos.

There were so many check-in spots decorated at the venue, including a 3D birthday cake model featuring the 3rd-anniversary logo, official illustration photo frames, and various life-sized character standees. The paper bag held in the photo is matching merch prop; holding it in hand for interaction feels much more natural than just standing still and posing. The lighting in the shopping mall was quite good, so straight-from-phone photos already yielded very pleasant colors, capturing the authentic local atmosphere without needing heavy post-processing.

Special thanks to my partner and photographer, Strawberry Banana Chocolate, who helped me capture positions and find angles throughout the event. Since foot traffic in the mall was quite heavy, we dodged peak hours, waiting at popular spots for others to finish before stepping up quickly. In particular, the selfie-perspective framing in photo five was suggested by my partner using a selfie stick; this angle clearly showcased the proportions of the skirt and white socks, making the shot feel even more playful.

Besides the photo frames and standees, there was a dedicated collaboration Itasha car display area. The wrap printed on the car body was exquisitely detailed, creating a rich sense of depth for event photos alongside booth stanchions and lighting. Furthermore, the glass window of a collab beverage shop was very interesting, adorned with large chibi character stickers that seamlessly integrated game elements into real commercial settings—I snapped a quick photo when passing by.

As a player who frequently attends offline events, the most appealing aspect of a birthday party or themed pop-up like this is the atmosphere created by fellow fans. Even while quietly browsing booths or queuing for photos, everyone's shared passion for the game is palpable. This Honkai: Star Rail Birthday Party for the 3rd anniversary featured thematic touches from entrance signage to inner installations, giving off a relaxed party vibe rather than queue anxiety. To me, cosplay is all about this—trying out different styles at various offline events and recording the moment through the lens.

Lastly, praise for the merch paper bag—the quality was really good! As the event neared its end, we caught up on the remaining check-in spots. Running around was exhausting, but bringing a hobby into reality and capturing these moments before thematic booths with my partner brought tremendous satisfaction. I hope for more relaxed, joyful offline events in the future where I can wear my favorite character outfits, stroll around, take photos, and experience joy beyond the game itself.
