[Navia cosplay] Seaside Custom design cosplay: Blue Sheer Swimsuit photo

This time, I'm sharing a Custom design cosplay swimsuit concept for Navia cosplay. Because the canon attire is quite heavy, I opted for a cooler Blue-themed outfit with sheer, Transparent material in its design, allowing this semi-translucent fabric to reveal a remarkably airy, weightless texture under natural lighting.

Regarding hair and makeup, to capture the character's temperament, I selected blue contact lenses and light blonde long curls, coordinated with the blue gems and golden star embellishments on the wide-brimmed hat. The dimensional presence and interplay of light and shadow on the hat are the soul of this styling. For the eye makeup, the lower lash line was slightly thickened and elongated, paired with pink lips to cultivate a subtly languid yet elegant demeanor.

The shooting location was set in a sofa lounge by the window, offering an expansive view outside while flooding the interior with crisp, strong natural daylight. We utilized the diffused ambient light entering from outside, accented with an orange cushion as a pop of contrast to flatter the breezy freshness of the blue garments. The camera angle was intentionally lowered, using a wide-angle perspective to elongate leg lines while utilizing the sheer reveal of the Transparent material to flatter body contours for this Swimsuit photo. Posing required maintaining relaxed physical extension, synchronized with candidly caught gazes.

In post-processing, the focus was primarily on recreating this translucent texture. We moderately tuned lighting contrast, boosting the outdoor highlights while deepening the shadows of the fabric to make the blue translucency pop even more vividly. Skin tones were processed to preserve natural luminescence rather than over-smoothing, ensuring organic authenticity. Shooting barefoot indoors, minor blemishes on the legs and insteps were gently tidied up. Placing a pair of black high heels nearby added a compositional element while hinting at the character's everyday downtime.

During shooting, we experimented with varied angles—such as kneeling on the cushion and glancing back over the shoulder, or close-up portraits leaning against the sofa edge. Subtle adjustments were made to the folds of the blue mesh, the gentle curves of the curls, and the metallic glint of the hat pins. The essence of this Custom design cosplay lies in presenting bodily silhouettes and sheer transparency, making lighting angles crucial. This experiment gave me valuable lighting insights when shooting Transparent material attire, as well as how to best frame the face with hair to achieve a sharp, dimensional finish.
