[Altria Caster cosplay] Fate/Grand Order: Summer Seaside Bunny

This summer photoshoot for Fate/Grand Order's Altria Caster took place on a grassy hillside by the sea. The blue-and-white dress suited the location perfectly, especially the prominent bunny ear headwear, which instantly brought out the character's playful charm once worn. The outfit itself features plenty of intricate details: a halter-neck cut paired with a large blue bow across the chest, and strappy back accents with an open-back design that beautifully accentuated body contours before the lens. The pleated skirt on the lower half is clearly layered, and the blue piping along the hem is delicately crafted. To lengthen visual proportions, I coordinated blue-and-white argyle over-the-knee Stockings with white high heels, making leg lines look even more slender in outdoor full-body compositions.

To complement the summer theme and the 'little bunny' motif, I prepared several dedicated props. The blue toy trumpet was an eye-catching highlight; for the shots standing on the stone pathway pretending to play it, the composition utilized the trumpet as a leading line, framed against distant windmills and blue skies to create a crisp, clear finish. The blue shade of the trumpet echoed the blue accents of the attire harmoniously. Additionally, holding the bug-catching net wrapped in vines and faux flowers—whether standing among blossoms or raising it overhead—combined with post-processed stars and white dove effects to evoke a whimsical fairytale mood. A woven wicker basket used while reaching for fruit under trees added a grounded narrative depth to the imagery.

The sun shone brilliantly on the day of the shoot, with tiny yellow wildflowers dotting the grassy slope. To freeze moments of wind brushing through my hair, the shutter speed was dialed up, requiring continuous posture adjustments to maintain core balance. Standing on grass or stone paths in high heels especially demanded tight core engagement to keep postures poised and upright. As it was a summer concept, I emphasized blush in the makeup and gave the eye styling a luminous finish, hoping close-up portraits would faithfully align with the original game art. The coastal breeze was quite strong and made hair hard to control, requiring constant adjustments to face into the wind smoothly.

This summer outfit of Castoria poses quite a challenge for lighting. Under natural outdoor light, white fabrics easily blow out, so during the shoot I avoided midday harsh overhead sunlight, favoring rim backlighting to trace body contours, while post-processing focused on fine-tuning color temperature and exposure to preserve the refreshing clarity of the blue-and-white palette. In posing, I explored varied aesthetics: from serene, static postures sitting on a white folding chair or leaning beside a table, to energetic action poses like holding the bug net poised for a leap or blowing the trumpet. The blue dress formed a striking color contrast against the lush green grass. To ensure the outfit looked pristine, everything was thoroughly steamed prior to departure to prevent creases from distracting the eye. Keeping the over-the-knee Stockings in place was another small hurdle, requiring frequent adjustments along the way to keep the argyle diamond patterns aligned. Overall, this styling displayed a radiant, translucent quality under natural light, showcasing the character's unique charm across both full-body frames and close-up portraits. Wrapping up this shoot embraced by the ocean breeze, seeing the captured sunshine and smiles in the finished frames made all the meticulous preparation and sweat under the sun completely worthwhile.
