[Ryuge Kisaki cosplay] Recreating Blue Archive's School Uniform: The Classic Combo of White Shirt and Black Tie

This Kisaki JK uniform cosplay look was actually conceived long before the shoot, as the character's hairstyle structure is quite unique—double bun odangos combined with ultra-long twin tails pose a real test for wig care and styling fixation. I specifically layered the hair strands so the twin tails fall naturally while maintaining a fluffy volume, and paired them with blue hair ribbons, making the overall color tone instantly recognizable.

For the white shirt, I chose a stiffer fabric so the collar and cuffs maintain clean, sharp lines when folded rather than slumping soft. The black tie was tied in a standard Windsor knot, ending right at waist level to create a striking contrast with the dark pleated skirt. I specifically pressed the skirt pleats to ensure they maintain a neat fan shape whether sitting or moving. To fit the campus setting, we used a very simple desk prop without excessive ambient light distractions, keeping the focus squarely on the character herself.

During the shoot, we tried several different states: sitting casually on the desk edge with legs crossed, standing up to strike a victory sign, or intentionally tugging at the skirt hem to add a touch of playfulness. The texture of the White over-the-knee socks creates a natural transition under soft light, appearing smooth and even without extra highlights. The photographer used a softbox with a light gray background paper, giving the skin a luminous transparency while preventing the white clothing from overexposing, preserving the detailed layers of folds.

There's actually a hidden detail in this set: the ratio between skirt length and sock height. Slightly raising the waistline visually elongates the legs while preserving the character's dignified yet lively temperament. During post-processing, I avoided heavy liquefying edits, focusing instead on unifying skin tones and keeping the background clean to maintain a pure composition. When shooting specific JK uniform cosplay themes, the biggest fear is not looking like the character, so I kept poses closely aligned with the original character's calm, confident posture rather than forcing unnatural poses.

After seeing the final photos, I was most satisfied with Photo 6. In the seated posture, the skirt spreads naturally while both hands gently pull at the edges—neither overly revealing nor lacking dynamic motion, paired with a slightly innocent expression that hits the perfect vibe. The white shirt cuffs were also rolled up to mid-forearm to expose wrist lines, preventing the upper body from looking heavy. Visually, the outfit achieves a clear black-and-white contrast—simple yet far from plain, which is precisely the most captivating aspect of school-style looks.
