[Luo Tianyi cosplay] Vsinger's Winter Wonderland: Celebrating Winter Solstice Early in Midsummer

The styling for this Luo Tianyi cosplay comes from Vsinger's classic Chinese traditional style project, overall following the theme of a cool and serene winter night. The long, straight silver-gray hair from the silver hair wig paired with white flower hair accessories goes together with an improved Han-element dress that features interwoven light and dark blue gradients. Multiple layers of pleats and laces are applied to the cuffs and waist, creating rich layering. To recreate that frost-and-snow-like texture from the original setting, the makeup deliberately toned down the colors of the eyebrows and eyes, using cool-toned pearlescent shimmer to brighten the corners of the eyes, combined with light green colored contact lenses to make the gaze look more transparent.

On the day of the shoot, the temperature was actually close to 30°C, but to echo the atmosphere of the "Winter Solstice," we set up a dark blue backdrop indoors, using strong flashes combined with softboxes to cast a cooler, blue-white light source. We then placed a white artificial cherry blossom tree diagonally behind me to create the illusion of falling snow and moonlight. During post-processing, the overall color temperature was intentionally lowered to make the highlights brighter and the shadows more blue, thereby reinforcing that serene feeling of a cold night. The fabric of the costume used satin with subtle dark patterns, overlaid with a lightweight chiffon shawl so that both the hem and the shawl could flutter when moving. Although wearing this in the summer was indeed a bit stuffy, seeing that crisp yet gentle effect in the final photos made it completely worthwhile for this off-season photography work.

This set of photos took about two weeks to prepare from start to finish. Every detail, from the styling of the silver hair wig to the adjustments of the clothing accessories, was checked repeatedly, hoping to recreate the winter Luo Tianyi in everyone's hearts as a successful traditional style cosplay piece.
