[Lucy cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero: The Wild Boar Biker Girl

The photoshoot results for this Lucy cosplay outfit from Zenless Zone Zero have finally turned out wonderfully. Photographer Master Hongbai helped capture these street biker-vibed visuals. Now that the raw photos have been retouched, I'm excited to share this wild riding moment belonging to the Sons of Calydon with everyone.

This styling truly put costume weight tolerance and detail accuracy to the test. First and foremost is the iconic, massive white horned choker collar, which isn't just an accessory but the centerpiece of the whole look. The leather straps and metal buckles fastened around my neck honestly carried a weighty sense of realism, but wearing it immediately immersed me into character to channel her fierce edge. The outer piece is a red-and-black Biker Punk Style glossy leather jacket; its wide lapels and metallic zipper design boast premium quality, and under the photographer's lighting, the sheen reflecting off the leather surface gives the entire frame an exceptionally crisp look. The inner black midriff-baring top is printed with the full "LOST WILD BOAR" logo, which, together with the custom torn hemline design, nails that hardcore girl vibe in a split second.

The lower half of the outfit leans toward a pragmatic street-mix style. The black denim ultra-shorts feature an exaggerated white faux-fur trim along the hem; combining tough leather with soft fluff perfectly balances the contrast between her "fierce" and "cute" traits. The bullet belt around the waist packed with metal shells, coupled with hanging gold metal chains and a uniquely shaped circular belt buckle, is packed with details. Every time I turned my waist, I could hear the clinking of the metal accessories, maximizing the atmosphere. For the wig, I chose bright yellow blonde hair styled into voluminous twintails with blunt bangs and side locks. To enhance the layering, I styled it with a curling iron before shooting to give the ends natural curls, giving it a lustrous sheen under the studio lights.

We also put considerable effort into props: the spiked baseball bat held in my hand has its handle wrapped in white tape, and the spiked ring at the top carries immense deterrence. Matching such a weapon required adjusting numerous holding stances during the shoot, ensuring the poses felt natural and effortless while conveying a palpable sense of power. The wooden baton with a metal ring in the second picture was also very interesting, serving as a handy everyday weapon for casual scenes.

The studio environment on the day of the shoot was great; the solid gray backdrop allowed 100% of the focus to fall on costume details and facial features. For makeup, rather than overly heavy colors, I applied subtle dark red eyeshadow smudges under the lower eyelids to create a flushed, post-action sweat texture. Combined with an aloof yet slightly playful expression, it perfectly reflected my interpretation of the character. When shooting this style of Anime-style photography, one needs both a cool, rebellious attitude and the character's innate youthful vitality. As such, in the first photo I pose coldly with the weapon resting on my shoulder and chin slightly raised, whereas in the second photo I instantly switch to a playful peace-sign pose. Navigating this contrasting charm is precisely what makes Damselette cosplay so enjoyable.

Because this costume features many leather and metallic accessories, careful attention to light angles was essential during shooting to prevent crushed blacks or blown-out reflections. Fortunately, Master Hongbai is very skilled with these materials; the final sheen and shadow transitions look very natural. Skin wasn't excessively retouched, preserving natural texture and a healthy glow, giving the Anime-style photography an authentic tactile feel beyond 2D visuals. Even though wearing a leather jacket under studio lights was hot and resting the baseball bat on my shoulder made my arm sore, seeing the final photos made all the preparation completely worthwhile.

This combination of wasteland biker aesthetics and Biker Punk Style elements instantly immerses you into a world brimming with danger and passion. The outfit styling, prop accuracy, and wig fitting—every step helped bring this character to life on me. Looking in the mirror after the shoot, it felt as though I had truly just finished a wild street chase. With helmet and weapons ready, I'm prepared to take a ride through the streets of New Eridu at any moment.
