The core of today's styling is to restore that sweet yet exquisite style from classic retro anime. The wig chosen was light golden, specially styled into two hair buns. To make the look more girlish, the bangs were also trimmed relatively neat. In terms of makeup, to match the 2D anime-style setting, I wore brown large-diameter contact lenses, deepened the contour with eye makeup, applied heavier blush, and chose a water-red lipstick, aiming to create the overall feeling of a freshly baked strawberry cake.
In terms of clothing, I chose an off-the-shoulder shirt with black and white lace splicing. The black bow at the neckline is the finishing touch, paired with a black pleated skirt. The overall color scheme is just black and white, simple yet distinct in layers. The cup of strawberry milkshake in my hand is the shop's special blend, with rich fruit pulp at the bottom. Actually, coming to this shop today was just for taking photos; the display cabinets here are filled with various merchandise, and the plush mirror in the background is also a great prop. Shooting into the mirror can increase the depth of the frame.
People who have watched this anime are probably all running around for a living now. Guarding the TV set when we were young, looking at those exquisite cakes and desserts, who hasn't harbored the dream of becoming a patissiere in their heart? This time, finally having the opportunity to wear this outfit and come to a shop full of dessert elements can be considered a special way to fulfill a childhood dream. Holding this drink in hand, garnished with strawberry, it feels exceptionally matched with the atmosphere of the anime series.
During the shooting, I actually adjusted the angle slightly because I wanted to avoid the messy tourists in the background while retaining the shop's environmental features. I held the drink sideways, which not only showcased the details of the clothes, but also made the overall state look more relaxed. Another photo used that plush-framed mirror; the poster reflected in the mirror created a picture-in-picture effect, which is quite interesting.
The overall photo-shooting process went very smoothly, and the lighting was also great. I didn't deliberately strike overly exaggerated poses; I just naturally held the cup, tidied my hair, and looked to the side. The candid shots captured by the photographer actually have more vitality than forced poses. This style combining daily life with 2D elements is an expression method I've really liked recently. Sometimes it doesn't need to be too complicated; as long as the clothes are right and the atmosphere is there, the photos can naturally convey that retro sweet aura. Today's trip has come to a successful end—I ate delicious food and took satisfactory photos. Today, let's fulfill the childhood dream of becoming a patissiere in the form of cosplay first.
