I previously posted a preview of this Rosmontis cosplay set on Yinfu, and today I'm moving the fully retouched photos over to Xiaohongshu! When preparing this outfit, what I cared about most was the gradient color at the hair ends and the styling of that pair of white animal ears. Although Rosmontis's original design leans toward techwear, there are so many details—the printed structure of the skirt hem and the straps around the waist all needed precise placement. For this outdoor shoot, we chose open outdoor stairs and a green fence. The gray tone of the concrete perfectly set off the texture of the white and blue costume, allowing us to present that slightly cold sci-fi atmosphere unique to Arknights without adding overly complex filters.

The process of building and designing with Erin Linmeng went very smoothly. She helped me lock in many angled details, especially when shooting these half-body close-ups holding a notebook and a plush rabbit, accurately capturing that soft yet guarded trait of the character. The Rhodes Island logo on the shoulder straps and the black feather accessories adorning the coat were all finalized in material after repeatedly comparing them with the original character art. For ease of movement during the outdoor shoot, I chose hard-soled Martin boots. Walking back and forth on the steps to take dozens of shots made me quite tired after standing for so long, but seeing how on-point my gaze looked in the final photos made every bit of effort worth it.

Having done Anime cosplay for all these years, I've always felt that roleplay is not just about changing into a costume, but more about understanding the character's mental outlook. Although Rosmontis is young, as a Rhodes Island operator, her strong yet detached temperament is incredibly charming. This combination of white and blue with black gloves and leg rings is highly recognizable visually. The makeup was kept as clean and breathable as possible, avoiding heavy shadows to let the emotions in my gaze flow naturally. I hope the lens language this time can convey my understanding of Rosmontis to everyone, and my thanks also go to the friends who helped on-site. The lighting by the fence and the background bokeh turned out great for Portrait photography; if there's an opportunity later, I'll share some small details on the lighting setup.
