This set of Rice Shower cosplay photos was shot by photographer Nathapon. From styling to shooting, the main focus was capturing the character's temperament through specific details. Regarding the costume, the sailor uniform is the centerpiece; the large dark blue bow on the chest and the lace along the collar needed to stay smooth and flat. The animal ears on the head and the black hat—especially that blue rose—are the most crucial accessories for accuracy, and I took extra time to adjust their positioning before shooting. Shooting in a convention setting is certainly challenging due to crowded backgrounds, but Nathapon is adept at utilizing shallow depth of field in Convention photography to blur the bustling crowds, keeping the subject crisp and clean.

The first photo adopts a tilted composition; this wide perspective paired with an outstretched hand gesture creates stronger spatial depth and interactivity, giving the shot greater visual tension. The second photo is a more conventional standing pose, but flashing a V-sign with a subtly angled gaze better showcases the front details of the costume, including the pleated design of the skirt. During the shoot, I communicated the range of movement with the photographer. For instance, to match the character's quiet yet powerfully present personality, capturing the right gaze was paramount—maintaining direct eye contact with the camera without appearing overly sharp.

The convention venue lighting was quite mixed, so we positioned ourselves facing the light source to ensure even facial illumination while utilizing subtle shadows to enhance facial depth. In post-processing, the focus was on gentle skin smoothing while preserving natural skin textures without excessive exaggeration, aiming to maintain realism. The blue tones of the costume contrasted nicely with the skin tone, creating harmonious overall color balance. For character portrayal, I added small gestures to enhance liveliness—such as smoothing clothes or adjusting the hat—which helped me immerse into the role better. The entire collaboration was seamless, and the final results met all expectations.

Lately I've been experimenting with characters of various styles, but this Animal ears sailor uniform look paired with its props left a deep impression on me. Sharing these photos and recording my feelings while cosplaying this character is very meaningful. I also gained practical experience in costume maintenance and wearing techniques, such as keeping the hat straight and managing the placement between the wig and animal ears. Though tedious, these preparations are well worth the effort for the final presentation. I hope this share offers an intuitive look at this styling, and I look forward to preparing more heartfelt works in the future.
