[Remielle Cosplay] The Dual-Faced Angel and Shadow Phantom in Zenless Zone Zero

I prepared two distinctly different outfits for Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero. This set was shot in a studio, presenting two visual moods: sacred white wings and shadowy black wings. The white outfit was captured against a bright, airy backdrop, while the black outfit utilized a vintage gothic setting with dark purple tones. Though completely different, both looks somehow fit seamlessly on the same character.

Let's start with the white wings set. A bustier combining white gauze and metallic textures paired with detached wide sleeves—accented at the cuffs with soft blue and orange—creates an overall airy feel. The white wings stood out brilliantly under studio lighting, showcasing rich feather texture. On the legs are tights with white totem patterns, paired with silver pointed-toe heels. Posing on small steps at the location utilized the height difference to beautifully extend the leg lines, while soft pink petals scattered around enhanced the ambiance.

The black wings set took a completely different direction. A black waist-cinching corset replaced the white puffy style, featuring a white lapel collar and bow tie, while the lower half paired black shorts with semi-sheer black garter stockings and glossy block-heeled buckle shoes. The garter design at the thighs serves as a major visual highlight for this set. Large black wings paired with dark red rose petals and a gold-framed mirror infused the frame edges with a decadent yet opulent emotion. A vintage patterned sofa gave the scene a grand mansion atmosphere, while dark purple lighting beautifully preserved the texture of the black stockings.

Regarding makeup, the pink short wig retained signature wispy strands and subtle hair accessories across both looks, with eye makeup adapted to different light sources. The soft purple-pink light of the white-wing setup favored a clean, translucent makeup look, whereas the black-wing scene called for smoky touches and highlighted accents. The photographer was extremely meticulous about lighting during the shoot; candle stands on the left crossed with spotlights on the right formed a warm-and-cool balance that highlighted metallic buckles and leather sheen on the outfit. Styling the wig for both black and white looks took effort, needing to maintain vibrant pink hues without looking frizzy.

Speaking of shooting challenges, the trickiest part was actually the weight and support of the wings. Whether white wings or black wings, when taking full-body photos, the wings easily wobbled, requiring constant posture adjustments to find a center of balance. When seated on the steps or sofa, the skirt train and wing feathers often tangled, requiring the assistant's frequent help. Additionally, leg positions couldn't be retracted; extending them naturally forward was necessary to elongate leg shape. Finishing a session with gear like this always strains shoulders and neck, but seeing the dynamic tension of the wings in raw shots made all the exertion completely worth it.

While organizing this photo set, two distinct emotional expressions can be seen clearly through the photographs: the clean purity of white wings, and the dark elegance of black wings. Remielle's original design in Zenless Zone Zero is exceptionally elaborate, but when crafting the cosplay costume, I preferred using tangible, textured fabrics. The tailoring and puffiness underwent repeated adjustments so the sleeves and waist corset achieved ideal volumetric presence before the camera lens.

Additionally, the pattern tights and black garter stockings significantly elongated leg proportions in the photographs, which served as a standout feature of this Anime cosplay set in Cosplay photography. The photographer leveraged props and spatial depth to blend character and costume seamlessly into the environment. Overall, despite their strong visual contrast, both outfits preserved Remielle's signature elegance and mysterious allure.
