[Arknights Ling Cosplay] Gourd in Hand, Drinking Freely, Gathering of the Sui Family Awaiting Tomorrow

The moment I picked up the yellow gourd and sat down by the wooden desk, the aura of this styling truly settled. The blue-and-black gradient long hair is paired with blue horn ornaments and pointed ear props, which, along with the yellow tassels by the ears, visually form a highly structured color echo. For the lapels, a loose and flowing white coat was chosen as the main body, with the inner layer featuring a spliced collar and abdominal decoration of light blue and bright yellow—distinctly layered yet carrying a touch of unconventional, free-spirited grace.

The long black gloves on my hands form a color-matching visual extension with the deep gray thigh-high socks, separated at the thigh with black straps, and paired with white chunky-soled Martin boots on my feet, adding some capable and neat characteristics to this outfit on top of its ethereal vibe. During the shoot, I deliberately adjusted my sitting pose, stretching my legs naturally or bending them slightly, which not only highlighted the lines of the legs and boots but also allowed for more natural movements in coordination with the props in my hands. The small white plush toy with red horns placed by my side is a cute little easter egg in this shoot, leaning obediently next to me and adding a lot of childlike fun to the frame.

The choice of scene coordinated with the arrangement of a Chinese wooden table and screens, with bamboo and calligraphy banners on the side as a background, providing a classical narrative backing for the styling. In particular, the black calligraphy font clearly visible on the banners and the massive circular ink-wash screen behind set each other off beautifully. As the light and shadow hit the white shirt, the subtle patterns on the clothing and the three-dimensional cut were both beautifully recorded. In switching actions, I experimented with dynamic poses like sitting quietly while holding the gourd, extending one leg sideways, and raising both hands with a semi-transparent blue dragon-shaped prop. Although it was challenging to simultaneously control the posture of the dragon-shaped tulle drapery and my facial expressions, fortunately, the final photos did an excellent job of reflecting this character's flowing silhouette.

Actually, since we scheduled a meetup right before the Lunar New Year, I wanted to rush these photos out before the gathering as a little surprise for myself and fellow fans. This Cosplay sharing session was very relaxed; thanks to the on-site lighting and the natural feel created by the bamboo shadows, sitting there in this outfit made it very easy to step into the character's zone. Here, I would like to sincerely thank the photographer @Qianhe📷 for guidance and the retoucher @Jiangdaoniao for meticulous adjustments, ensuring the lighting texture of the frame was neither overly distorted nor lost the original charm of the Chinese setup. Today, when organizing the photos and seeing myself sitting on the wooden desk holding that moderately weighted yellow gourd, it indeed felt highly casual and free—completely different from my state in daily life. It was a very complete Anime cosplay photography experience.
