[Asuna Cosplay] Log of the Blue and Black Maid Outfit Convention Photos in Blue Archive

This blue, black, and white maid outfit along with the blue concentric halo on top of my head had my expectations maxed out during the preparation phase. On the day of the anime convention, I woke up extra early to first trim the wig into a proper layered texture. This light tea-gold color paired with heavy side-swept bangs actually puts high demands on the eye makeup. To match the character's brightness as an all-around beautiful girl, I chose bright blue colored contacts and elongated the eyeliner slightly to make my gaze look sharper.

The clothing design is highly eye-catching. The large lake-blue bow at the chest is the visual centerpiece, which, paired with the classic black-and-white maid skirt and white over-the-knee socks, delivers a very strong sense of youthfulness. The '01' logo on the cuffs and the white short gloves add a uniform feel, while that prominent blue concentric halo on top of my head, though made of lightweight material, still required adjusting its center of gravity after wearing it for a long time; otherwise, it easily tilts.

Most of these convention photos were taken in front of the glass doors outside the exhibition hall. This translucent ambient light is perfect for this type of blue-and-white color-scheme clothing. The photographer didn't intentionally stage too many complex movements; many frames were snapshots. For example, there's a posture of crouching on the ground making a hand heart, and another sitting while holding that blue, black, and white long rifle prop, where the composition of placing it on the ground is also quite interesting.

题材Actually, when shooting this type of long-handled prop, special attention must be paid to the sense of interaction with the prop; you can't make the prop look as if it's just pasted on. I adjusted several postures, such as placing the gun sideways or keeping it perpendicular to the ground, so that the visual center of gravity would be steady. Additionally, the close-ups are very important; this time, close-ups were taken in areas where the reflections on the glass curtain wall were quite noticeable. That cool light striking my face perfectly highlights the brightness of the colored contacts and the translucency of the makeup.

Participating in a comic convention in a maid outfit presents its biggest challenge in keeping the costume tidy and maintaining a great state. Because it requires frequent crouching and standing, and the skirt hemline is designed to be relatively short, one needs to pay a bit of attention to posture during actions. Overall, though, the material of this Asuna cosplay outfit is relatively light and breathable, so it didn't feel too stuffy or hot even during outdoor activities.

After the photos came out, I was also highly satisfied with this refreshing visual feedback. The combination of the light hair color and blue eyes, plus the pattern of the costume, gives the entire set of images a high level of uniformity. The most enjoyable process of every cosplay session isn't simply putting it on, but rather adjusting one's expressions and actions according to the character's traits, allowing a flat character to carry a three-dimensional infectiousness through the lens.
