Today's set features Asuna's JK uniform styling. A lot of effort went into wig styling right from the start; the trickiest part of this long blonde hair was the light gradient transition, which could easily look frizzy if not handled properly. I used plenty of leave-in conditioner and styling spray, smoothing out the hair texture bit by bit to achieve this silky drape over the shoulders. The blue halo-like hair accessories on both sides are custom-made; to ensure they reflected a translucent, sci-fi sheen under the lights, I adjusted their positioning repeatedly to match the original design as closely as possible.
For the outfit, a classic white long-sleeved shirt was selected with a slightly fitted cut, tied with a bright blue ribbon at the collar, creating a sharp visual contrast with the black pleats of the skirt. The sharpness of the skirt pleats is something I always double-check when wearing pleated skirts; I pressed it for a long time the night before to ensure the lines stayed pristine whether sitting or standing. Speaking of the highlight of today's styling, it definitely has to be the pairing of Black stockings over-the-knee socks and the plump-legged girl aesthetic. When shooting the second photo, I sat on the classroom desk with my legs raised—a pose that heavily tests core strength to keep the leg lines relaxed while allowing the texture of the Black stockings to shine under the light, requiring multiple adjustments to leg angles and ankle curves. The slight squeeze where the thigh meets the top of the sock is a detail many notice, so I communicated extensively with the photographer about lighting angles to achieve that soft, fleshy look without appearing bulky.
The shooting location was a real rented classroom; wooden desks and green blackboards bring a natural youthful aesthetic. In the first shot, I chose to lean forward across the desk, showing off the back lines and arms in the white shirt. Looking back into the camera, a beam of rim light hit just right, illuminating the hair strands with a golden glow and instantly elevating the atmosphere. The sitting pose in the second photo is my personal favorite: relaxed expression, gazing straight into the lens, capturing both a school vibe and playful charm with a wonderfully balanced composition.
The whole shooting process was physically demanding, especially when hunting for angles within the confined space of desks. To work around the classroom's overhead lights, we added a side softbox so the textures of both the face and the Black stockings could be preserved simultaneously. Bright blue contact lenses were chosen, and since catchlights reflected strongly in close-ups, we tweaked the light positioning slightly to keep the eyes looking clear and lively. Bringing this set to fruition feels like a satisfying wrap-up of my recent efforts in makeup and lighting. Seeing everyone's diverse creative output during the fan creation season inspired me to revisit this classic classroom setting once more, and I hope everyone can feel the unique charm of this JK uniform.
