[Iochi Mari cosplay] Blue Archive campus gym uniform styling, vibrant energy in a white studio

This time I chose to shoot Iochi Mari cosplay's gym uniform look from Blue Archive; the clean backdrop of White studio photography fits the campus sports theme wonderfully. First, regarding costume restoration details: this gym uniform features a white T-shirt with navy blue piping along the collar and cuffs, plus a dark green geometric school emblem printed on the chest. Deep blue athletic shorts feature yellow side paneling with strong color contrast and solid physical texture. The jacket is styled off-the-shoulder for a casual and relaxed vibe, adding dynamic motion compared to wearing it conventionally. An orange-yellow lanyard around the neck holds an ID card, serving as a nice detail adding to the classic setting.

For head styling, the bright orange-yellow wig needed layered trimming on the bangs and sideburns to avoid looking heavy. A support structure for animal ears was specifically fixed onto the headband, paired with a yellow polygonal ring-shaped halo; prop proportions across the entire head structure had to be carefully managed to prevent awkwardness. The halo easily overexposes under White studio photography lights due to reflection, requiring minor adjustments to lighting angles. Since the wig fiber color is bright, highlight placement needed precise control to prevent washed-out edges. Makeup followed a translucent direction, focusing on the eye area and light blue contact lenses; the base makeup remained mostly matte to minimize skin glare, aligning with the character's youthful and energetic aura.

Regarding posing during the shoot, to capture athletic dynamism, I avoided overly rigid poses. For seated postures, I deliberately chose crossed-leg actions and resting a hand on the chair back to naturally display leg lines and an overall relaxed state. Standing shots mainly let the jacket slide off naturally while raising one hand slightly, paired with eye expressions to convey subtle playfulness. Black-and-white canvas shoes with white mid-calf socks are standard for campus looks, stretching visual proportions nicely.

This White studio photography shoot utilized high-key lighting, where the main light simulated softened natural daylight, working with pure white background to accurately render the white and blue hues of the outfit. Rim lighting was added behind the subject's profile during lighting setup to sharpen hair edges and garment contours. In post-processing, saturation and brightness of the blue shorts were moderately adjusted to remove gray tones, steering the overall tone toward bright and refreshing. When capturing candid moments, special attention was paid to eye expression to ensure actions and expressions harmonized. Completing this Gym uniform cosplay photoshoot, from detail restoration to posture delivery, felt genuinely full of campus vitality, with the white backdrop rendering the overall Anime-style portrait clean and crisp. Organizing raw files after shooting, I realized the white studio offers immense flexibility for energetic styling, bringing out character traits effortlessly without complex backgrounds. Though the overall look is simple, every element underwent careful adjustment and thought to present a sports class atmosphere faithful to lore.
