After wrapping up this Arknights Jungle knot photo set today, my biggest takeaway was just how extraordinarily detailed Amiya's outfit is. From the silver shoulder pauldrons to the blue sequined choker around the neck, every detail demanded precise restoration. The greatsword prop in my hand was not only complex in design but also carried substantial physical weight; holding it one-handed for poses had my arm muscles engaged the entire time, but it was completely worth it for the results. My partner's Rosmontis, with her layered white-and-blue dress, plush animal ears, and golden crown, looked wonderfully light and adorable, creating a striking contrast with my relatively sharp black-and-white outfit. On set, we were constantly helping each other adjust skirts and wigs—the cat-and-rabbit pairing was truly delightful.

The sunlight on the day of the shoot was intense, casting harsh, direct beams. Our photographer, Baolu, guided us through endless angle adjustments, using the building's arches and shutters as backdrops to carve out sharp contrast between light and shade. While the light was gorgeous, wearing multiple layers under the scorching sun while managing facial expressions was quite an endurance test. To showcase the texture of the tall boots and slouch socks, I deliberately raised my left leg onto the stone bench, which not only elongated visual proportions but also injected more tension into the overall composition. Meanwhile, Rosmontis sat beside me with folded hands, presenting a quiet, gentle demeanor.

We fine-tuned our sitting postures countless times along that corridor with vintage green railings and white arches. The Jungle knot motif inherently carries the feeling of seeking vitality amidst a complex environment, so in our choreography, we preserved signature character traits while weaving in organic interactions. For instance, having me angle my body to guard the greatsword while she tilted her head slightly toward the camera required effortless synergy between the two of us. Beyond braving the stuffy heat of heavy garments, we had to ensure no props broke immersion on camera—details like the blue ribbons on my boots and the folds of the leg warmers had to be inspected carefully before every shutter release.

As players who love Arknights, bringing characters from this series to life through our own portrayal is immensely rewarding. What everyone sees on screen is flawless lighting and exquisite styling, but behind it lie hours of hair and makeup prep, endless blocking adjustments, and the physical toll of wielding heavy props. Collaborating with my partner and the photographer went seamlessly; communication on set was efficient, and the composition and character emotions for every single frame were dialed in wonderfully.
