[March 7th cosplay] Honkai: Star Rail, Fresh Blue and White Palette Showcase

This time, I cosplayed March 7th from Honkai: Star Rail, with the first photo as the final featured shot. What attracted me most about this look is the blue and white palette, which brings a naturally crisp visual feel. The upper white shirt features pale purple floral embellishments on the chest, paired with a mock neckline and black choker that looks neat yet playful. I especially love the sleeve design—the wide light blue bell sleeves adorned with white ribbons flutter with an airy lightness, which I feel is the most dynamic part of the outfit.

The waist area is packed with detailed craftsmanship. The black mini-skirt hem features white piping, with a vibrant orange panel spliced on the front right, forming a striking color-contrast accent against the main blue and white tones. The small blue camera pouch hanging right in front is also a distinct feature, accented with a small green ornament on the outside. These lively elements fit the character's signature design style, making the overall look radiate energy.

For the wig, I selected a soft pink short style with bangs sweeping just to the brow and eye level. To match the character, I wore cool-toned blue contact lenses, which rendered a clear, luminous gaze under the scene's cool lighting. Makeup was kept light and clean rather than heavy. White tights were worn on the legs, paired with a thigh ring featuring a small blue bow charm to add layered detail to this Girly style photography set.

Regarding props, the longbow in white, blue, and black resembles a crossbow structure, blending sci-fi mech aesthetics with lightweight design. The prop is packed with mechanical details and feels quite heavy in hand; maintaining a natural, poised posture took considerable physical effort. To balance my center of gravity while shooting, I chose a side-profile pose drawing the bowstring, allowing my arm lines and wide sleeves to naturally unfold.

The set design for this shoot complimented the outfit seamlessly. The backdrop was transformed into a dreamy blue and white floral sea, surrounded by hydrangeas, white lilies, and lush tropical foliage, with petals carefully scattered across the floor. White string curtains hung down both sides, while a white iron birdcage in the rear right added a retro romantic charm. Behind, a white carved archway glowed under blue lighting, creating a wonderland atmosphere. This Dreamy studio photoshoot environment paired with cool lighting integrated flawlessly with the costume palette, requiring only minor contrast adjustments in post-processing to achieve this translucent, magical texture.

During actual shooting, the photographer captured moments swiftly, guiding my posture by prompting adjustments to shoulder height and chin angles. Given the rich background elements, the subject's positioning needed to harmonize with the directional angle of the bow prop to keep the framing clean and structured. The outfit appeared far more three-dimensional on camera than in person—especially the sleeve drapes and waist pouch details, which popped beautifully under the lens.

Putting together a character rich in details takes the most time in adjusting accessories and wigs. Though tedious, seeing the final photos makes every bit of effort worth it. I'm thoroughly satisfied with the light and shadow balance in the finished set—it highlights the subject without letting the backdrop flowers overwhelm the focus. For me personally, this serves as a wonderful memory and a tangible realization of a beloved game character in this Anime cosplay project.
