For this Event photo delivery session across the Nanning Autumn Comic Convention and Ryoga anime convention, my primary focus was reading the interplay of hall illumination. Many ask how event photos achieve such airy translucence—much of it stems from pairing lustrous garment textures with ambient light sources. I selected garments that emitted a delicate shimmer under lighting, matched with white thigh-high stockings and heels. Under soaring convention ceilings, white textiles easily pull luminous fill from surrounding bounces. For Stockings cosplay, posing technique makes all the difference: staggering legs with weight anchored on the rear foot, extending the front leg forward with toes pointed to elongate vertical lines.

Overhead hall spotlights can cast unflattering down-shadows across facial features, so I countered this by tilting my chin downward or using wide hat brims and small handheld props to shield direct top glare. Navigating the cluttered hall of the Ryoga anime convention, we utilized reflective flooring alongside corridors and expansive floor-to-ceiling perimeter windows to merge daylight with internal hall fixtures. When crowds surged, the photographer dropped to a lower angle and opened the aperture wide to soften bustling booths into creamy bokeh. Setting high-speed continuous burst during deliberate turns, stride steps, and prop flourishes preserved organic fabric motion, resulting in luminous, vibrant Convention photography memories.
