[Venti cosplay] Genshin Impact: Anime Convention Outing & Outfit Log

For this Anime convention, I chose to cosplay Venti, a character from Genshin Impact. The overall black-and-white maid-style outfit felt right at home on-site. Starting with the wig: it features a blue-black gradient with horn accents on top and vibrant blue braids along the cheeks. Styling it took more time than expected, but the outcome after putting it on was super satisfying, with the colors looking gorgeous under direct light.

The core of the costume is a black-and-white dress with abundant white lace ruffles along the neckline and cuffs. To give the skirt more volume and shape, I added a petticoat underneath so the hem would puff up naturally when walking. A black top layered over a white base, paired with White stockings and black leather shoes, formed a classic black-and-white contrast that added a touch of anime-style cuteness and playfulness. This outfit was carefully chosen—the fabric was comfortable, so walking around the Anime convention for most of the day didn't feel stuffy at all.

I brought two clear itabags—one with a mint-green frame and one with a white frame—filled with several Cotton doll plushies (what everyone affectionately calls "the kids"). I also cradled a large doll against my chest. Walking around the Anime convention giving them some "fresh air" was truly a special experience; it turned many heads along the way, and lots of fellow fans stopped to take photos of them. The clear bags were not only practical at the convention but also perfectly thematic for displaying merchandise of characters I love.

I prepared well before heading out: wearing flat shoes so walking wouldn't be too tiring, and packing snacks and water. The crowd was larger than anticipated, and chatting briefly with folks passing by while in line made for a wonderful vibe. Overall, this Venti cosplay look achieved high fidelity while offering great wearing comfort. While holding poses for photos was a bit tiring, seeing how the shots turned out made it feel completely worth it.

If I get the chance at the next Anime convention, I'll definitely consider doing similar characters. Going to conventions with bags full of my Cotton doll plushies has truly become my signature photo-op style.
