[Nero Cosplay] Fate/Grand Order: Red-and-White Stripes and Translucent Tulle Skirt in the Sunlight - Image 1

For this Nero styling and shoot, the main focus was on utilizing sunlight and echoing the red-and-white elements. To complement the texture of the sheer tulle skirt before shooting, I chose a low-angle upward perspective on a balcony under strong direct sunlight. The wig used a bright, light blonde shade, styled into twin tails with large ribbons, ensuring a seamless, natural transition across the back and along the hairline. In terms of makeup, to stay faithful to the character's original design, I emphasized green contact lenses and under-eye blush, paired with bright red lipstick to enhance that delicate doll-like aesthetic. Although the light was abundant, managing reflections was crucial to avoid harsh facial shadows, and the white tulle required careful fluffing to bring out its airy translucency. While low-angle shots easily elongate leg proportions, the outfit's design placed greater visual emphasis on the intertwined red-and-white straps and heart motifs across the upper body. For accessories, turquoise earrings and a matching bracelet provided a balanced color harmony with the blonde hair and green eyes. Outdoor shoots always mean battling the wind and changing light—windy days make hair strands tricky to manage and easily displace the tulle skirt. Fortunately, the captured moments felt effortless and dynamic, with the upward angle showcasing the outfit's rich layering. When reviewing the photos, the dappled sunlight filtering through the white tulle added incredible atmosphere, while the red stripes popped with heightened saturation in the sun. Though this costume lacks overly complex armor pieces, the red and white outfit palette is undeniably fresh and eye-catching. Finding the optimal head-tilt angle took considerable effort, as it not only slimmed the face but also flattered the bustline and arm contours. My favorite details remain the rosy cheeks and gently tousled hair strands, which lent a lively, vibrant energy to the entire composition. I feel this cosplay naturally captures the essence of the character. Before shooting, I was worried the translucent fabrics would cause tricky glare in post-production, but careful exposure control made editing smooth. The harmony between makeup, styling, and wardrobe came together seamlessly, making this a rewarding test of my personal styling skills.
