[Nikki cosplay] Infinity Nikki: Heartfelt Aromas Picnic Set Photoshoot Chronicle

The photo set for Infinity Nikki's Heartfelt Aromas is finally ready to share with everyone, brought to life by me, Yuzhi.

Let's delve into the garment details first: the ensemble is anchored in a soft pastel blue, complemented by delicate purple and white lace trimmings. The most captivating element is undeniably the skirt; its multi-layered gathers crafted from airy gauze blossom into cloud-like volume whether I am walking or seated. The bodice features an off-the-shoulder silhouette balanced by romantic lantern sleeves and a lace-trimmed pinafore apron, cinched at the waist with a lavender bow to weave rustic pastoral charm with youthful sweetness. The matching bonnet on my head is another centerpiece, framed with intricate scalloped lace and accented with metallic hairpins tucked into the tresses.

For the wig, I styled pastel lilac tresses featuring blunt bangs and softly tucked, inward-curling ends, paired with vibrant azure contact lenses. To align facial proportions with a 2D aesthetic, I adjusted contouring and eye makeup carefully, placing special emphasis on defined lower lashes and a prominent aegyo sal, finished with energetic peach-orange lips.

The set design required thoughtful pre-production: the background was defined by green-striped walls and vintage wooden furniture, dressed with an abundance of fresh sunflowers, lilies, and oversized sculptural paper blossoms. The prop array was delightfully rich, featuring a three-tiered dessert stand, an ivory porcelain teapot, woven wicker baskets, alongside an adorable teddy bear and a plush bunny in overalls.

Shooting this set was wonderfully engaging. Because the skirt is remarkably voluminous, every shift in stance meant carefully resetting the ruffles. Whether sitting at the table sipping tea, offering fruit, playing with a pinwheel, or strolling with the wicker basket, I balanced graceful posture with keeping the skirt folds and stockings crisp and organic before the camera. In seated chair setups, I adjusted the angle of my legs to flatteringly showcase the lace-trimmed white stockings and matching shoes without crowding the hem. In standing frames holding the basket, leaning slightly and gesturing playfully introduced lively dynamism.

The idea of holding the vintage gilded photo frame emerged spontaneously between takes, using it both in-hand and as a foreground framing device to add dimensional depth. Low-angle compositions on the antique carpet highlighted the garment's natural drape merging into the scene. Supported by soft, warm fill lighting that preserved lace textures and balanced vivid set colors, this shoot aimed to capture the healing, slice-of-life warmth of an idyllic afternoon.
