[Panty cosplay] Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt Outdoor Photoshoot Record - Image 1

A lot of effort went into restoring the details of this Panty costume. The golden piping and pink heart decorations on the chest, along with the multi-layered ruffled skirt design, closely follow the original design. The small white feather wings on the back were made with a slot-in fixation, making them easy to carry while allowing minor angle adjustments based on the wind direction during outdoor shooting. To faithfully recreate the character's signature messy golden short hair, styling and trimming the wig took more than half the night; the hair at the top required multiple layers of hairspray and hand-texturizing to maintain that flamboyant, dimensional look. In terms of makeup, blue circle lenses paired with winged eyeliner and a reddish eyeshadow wash strived to present a slightly Western-styled, exaggerated 2D aesthetic in the 3D world. Although the white handgun prop in my hand was made of lightweight material, my arm still required subtle strength to steady the center of gravity and strike a sharp pose before the camera.

Choosing to shoot by the outdoor waterside this time proved very friendly to the pure white costume; by paying slight attention to the rim-backlight angle, we captured the textural layering and folds of the fabric while avoiding overexposure and loss of detail from direct front light. The wind on that day lent a helping hand, gently blowing the skirt hem and the feather wings on the back, adding a touch of natural dynamic beauty to the frames. Sitting on the rough stone railing required intentional adjustment of leg stretching postures to elongate the overall lines, while the golden spiral garter accessories on my legs also served a visual extension role, perfectly complementing the white shoes and metal rings under the sun's illumination with a prominent texture.

During the shooting process, I tried to capture the character's personality using different gazes and micro-expressions—that confident, flamboyant, and slightly tsundere vibe needed to be expressed collectively through the gripping strength of the gun-holding hand and the tilt of the body's center of gravity. Cosplay is not merely putting on clothes to take pictures; it is about experiencing the character's psychological state at that very moment, bringing a flat two-dimensional concept into a three-dimensional space through body language. Every shutter click is a cross-dimensional dialogue with the character. From the meticulous care of the costume to prop control and emotional investment before the lens, the entire process is full of joy. Controlling expressions in an outdoor environment is also a test; when the sunlight is glaring, one must maintain eye focus while keeping facial muscles relaxed and natural, ensuring the character's signature expression shines through even under harsh light. Additionally, the reflective properties of the costume materials required constant angle adjustments during shooting to achieve the best visual effect.
