The set design concept for this shoot was very clear: we used cool blue ambient lighting paired with a high-reflectivity mirror film across the floor. This material is very slick, requiring immense care with center-of-gravity balance while posing. The background sheer drapes and wooden chair were repositioned multiple times to establish visual depth in the frame.
For makeup and styling, I chose a deep purple-black lip shade paired with cool grey eyeshadow, accented by a floral forehead mark (huadian). The hair was styled into a high updo with silver ornaments, where flowing tassels added dynamic motion. The outfit featured a white tube top layered with a light blue sheer wide-sleeved robe; this fabric reflected cool light beautifully, and the miniskirt cut maximized leg exposure. Blue platform embroidered shoes were chosen to harmonize with the overall color scheme.
To give the legs a radiant sheen, I used highlighting body oil paired with Glossy stockings and high-shine platform heels, which created a luminous effect under studio lights. However, this came with the drawback of easily catching dust, requiring assistants on set to constantly help wipe down the surfaces.
For props, a long black staff with white tassels was used to elongate the visual lines of each movement. Fluffy white faux fur was arranged in the background to simulate misty clouds while balancing the frame's visual weight.
The trickiest part during the shoot was managing the Specular reflection. If the camera angle was slightly off, the reflection would cut through the thigh lines or accidentally reveal the camera gear. The second photo focused on highlighting long legs; extending my leg to the right leveraged wide-angle perspective distortion to make the leg appear even longer. Yet because the floor was so slippery, keeping my core and legs firmly engaged to stabilize my balance tested both stamina and equilibrium.
In the first photo, I sat back on my leg, a pose that was relatively easier to hold due to the low center of gravity. For the second photo, aiming to elongate visual leg proportions, I chose a diagonal extension; because the mirror film was slippery, I leaned on nearby props for support. Lightly touching my lips with my right hand directed the viewer's gaze toward my face, while my left hand gripped the long staff—paired with an intense gaze to convey an alluring, fiercely captivating presence.
This cool and alluring aesthetic perfectly complemented the Acacia Sect character concept, capturing an icy aloofness interwoven with seductive charm. Post-processing primarily refined the Specular reflection in the frame and corrected reflection proportions, resulting in clean, crisp imagery where leg lines were optimized through perspective and reflections. Shooting themes with heavy Specular reflection always requires extra meticulousness and vigilance against slipping, as any misstep could disrupt the shoot. Overall, the final edits turned out pristine, met expectations, and became a set I truly love.
