[Sorasaki Hina Cosplay] Blue Archive Maid Outfit: Balancing Purple Stockings and Absolute Territory

Deciding to cosplay this maid version of Sorasaki Hina for the Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo involved putting a lot of effort into hair and makeup. The long, straight white hair features high-saturation pink highlights with a gradient blend at the ends. The purplish-black uniquely-shaped halo on top of my head was the hardest part of the entire look to secure; I used multiple layers of invisible brackets and hairpins to fasten it, otherwise it could easily get knocked crooked in the convention crowd, but wearing it produced a truly striking effect. The costume is a custom-made black-and-white modified Maid outfit cosplay dress, with little red hearts and black bowknots on the apron as detailed highlights, and a tailored fit that sits close to the body.

Regarding the absolute territory that everyone pays attention to, this outfit combination underwent strict ratio testing. The deep purple Over-the-knee socks are of moderate thickness, reflecting a natural sheen under the booth lighting. Combined with black chunky-soled Mary Jane shoes, the distance between the top of the thighs and the skirt hem is controlled just right, offering both an anime character's silhouette and ensuring mobility during the event. For the shoot, the photographer chose a cool-toned spatial backdrop; cool white skin and purple stockings look crisp under the same color temperature, while the tile floor's reflection enhances the image's overall translucency.

The two shots sitting on the white folding chair actually reflect my everyday convention state much more closely; the straddling posture perfectly displays the leg lines. The chibi plush on the ground was my own prop. Placing a plush of the same character design beside me during solo shots adds playful interaction—for example, in the photos where I sit sideways touching its face, interacting with the plush prevents the scene from feeling empty. Out of the four photos, I personally prefer posture #2 the most: the completeness of the halo overhead, the natural hand placement, and the neatly gathered feet all feel very comfortable.

There were also some fun little incidents during the shoot. The butterfly effect on the floor in photo 4 was actually added on-site with a friend's help. Because the venue glass reflection was too harsh, some light effects were added in post-processing to remedy the dryness of the raw photo. The overall vibe of this look leans cool and aloof, so my facial expressions weren't exaggerated.
