[Privaty cosplay] GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE Maid outfit Photoshoot Showcase

The shoot for this Privaty cosplay started with finalizing the makeup and styling.
The centerpiece was this blue long twin-tail wig. While the original character design features vibrant blue hair, it easily creates harsh reflection issues on camera, so two different shades of blue hair strands were blended together and styled at specific angles to achieve a natural draping look. For the hair accessories, the headband and cat ear structures were shaped with fine wire, wrapped in white seersucker fabric with black edge binding to keep them structured and crisp.
Next, let's talk about this black-and-white Maid outfit. The costume design is quite bold with a cutout at the chest, making internal support crucial; by adjusting the height and opening of the inner layer, we ensured it stayed faithful to the design without any wardrobe malfunctions during the shoot. The white lapel collar and black bow tie at the neckline are the highlights; the gold buckle inside the bow was custom-made at an accessory shop, feeling weighty and high quality. The skirt also features rich layering: a black tulle bottom layer topped with white ruffles, and an apron layered over the outside. This multi-layered structure creates fantastic dynamic movement when walking.
Leg styling was essential in this shoot: the over-the-knee White stockings featured garter clips with black ribbon bows tied at the thighs. To make leg lines appear more elongated on camera, we chose low-angle upward framing while adjusting the toe positions, pointing them straight to stretch the silhouette. The black strappy high heels rubbed against my feet quite severely, requiring the laces to be tied very tightly to keep a normal walking posture.
The set decoration took significant effort. A white plush rug simulated a snowy scene, paired with Roman pillars and archways in the background to build a European fairytale ambiance. Blue hydrangeas placed beside the picture frame echoed the blue wig nicely. Using a wide aperture and softboxes produced a beautifully soft background blur. Photo 1 adopts a medium close-up half-body composition, focusing on the upper body lines and eye expressions; Photo 2 is a kneeling pose, looking more playful and lively; Photo 3 is a full-body standing shot with a complete composition, making it the ideal angle for a cover. When standing, keeping the core engaged, chest up, and shifting weight to the right leg brought out the upright elegance of the costume.
In post-processing, the color tone was kept in a cool white-and-blue palette, extracting the cool tones of the original Anime cosplay design. When retouching skin, a natural texture was preserved, with slight levels adjustments on the clothing to prevent white blowout while keeping blacks rich and deep, highlighting the textures of different fabrics. The overall makeup leaned toward comic-style anime eyes, paired with contact lenses to brighten the eyes, alongside subtle blush adjustments according to lighting angles.
Overall, this Privaty cosplay shoot was a lengthy process from prop preparation to set design. Spending the whole afternoon in this costume certainly left my ankles sore. Taking it off after wrapping up, I actually felt that this substantial weight is an integral part of the character, and seeing the final results made everything worth it.
