The schedule for this Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo was intensely packed, but arriving on site with a creative project for the Zenless Zone Zero 2nd Anniversary made the entire journey extraordinarily fulfilling. To faithfully embody Dialyn, considerable effort was dedicated to polishing nuanced details from early prep all the way to on-site shooting.

Sculpting the wig was the undisputed core of this styling. The sharp black-and-white color-blocking required precision parting, and I spent hours combing and teasing the twin high buns to keep their silhouette plump, rounded, and natural. For hairpieces, miniature panda-head ornaments and crimson plush pom-poms nestled between hair strands, effectively elevating visual playfulness. Paired with amber-brown cosmetic contact lenses and an orange-brown eye makeup palette, facial contours aligned much closer with her canon persona.

The wardrobe boasts rich dimensional layers. A white bustier paired with a black halter collar, accented by a bright yellow tie patterned with panda motifs, delivered striking chromatic contrast. The detachable water-sleeves are exceptionally distinctive: the right arm sports black fabric with gold striping, while the left features crisp white with gray drawstrings, both trimmed with fluffy plush edges. To keep these expansive cuffs flared with dynamic tension during poses, I added light internal structural boning. The black waistband was decorated with scarlet tassels and gilded charms, while the hem of the white front apron featured black-and-white pom-poms that swayed delicately with every stride, enriching kinetic depth.

On the lower half, I opted for white over-the-knee stockings (stockings) paired with black leg harnesses, plush pom-pom accents, and black platform shoes with metallic gold soles. Walking across the outdoor convention grounds in this setup was certainly taxing—especially navigating chunky platform soles over lawn patches and uneven stone pavers where balance demanded constant attention. Yet standing before verdant garden greenery, the monochrome palette set against radiant daylight yielded genuinely rewarding stills.

Sunshine was abundant on the day of the shoot, allowing us to find ideal camera spots along shrubbery and architectural edges. The photographer aimed to freeze energetic, candid moments, so we explored diverse posing styles—tapping one finger against the eye corner, framing both hands playfully beside my face, or lifting one leg to showcase the tiered apron hem. Posing with the curved golden prop, I mentally rehearsed her character traits to ensure gestures flowed organically rather than feeling stiffly staged. Throughout posing shifts, sleeve hems and leg harnesses required constant double-checks to avoid obscuring costume craftsmanship.

The ambiance across the convention floor was electric; seeing countless players gathering out of shared love for Zenless Zone Zero made everyone's pure enthusiasm palpable. Joining this creator incentive campaign and sharing this joy with so many kindred spirits was deeply rewarding. The styling translated flawlessly before the lens, and post-production will gently balance outdoor color temperatures to keep the black-and-white contrast crisp and clean. This shoot offered rich hands-on experience and sparked fresh ideas for my upcoming projects—looking forward to bringing you more heartfelt creative works in the future.
