[Citlali Cosplay] Blue and White Outfit with Exclusive Pillow, Recreating an Ethereal and Casual Look

This time, I tried to recreate the costume details of Citlali, focusing on the layered combination of the main blue and white color scheme. The overall styling consists of an off-the-shoulder design, detached cuffs, and an irregular skirt hem with geometric elements. The hair accessories on top and the pink-purple long straight wig required meticulous trimming to fit the volume and silhouette in the original work, while the crossed diamond-patterned inner shorts enhanced both the tech-futuristic feel and the girlish charm of the design.

Before the shoot, I repeatedly adjusted the huge dark blue bow on the chest and the silver hanging ornament on the neck to ensure they could present the texture of the original setting in front of the lens. As the most unique part of this look, nothing tops those giant plush animal slippers. At the beginning of the design, I needed to balance the character's 'elegant and mysterious' setting with the 'homey and casual' feel brought by the slippers. This was indeed a considerable challenge, which also corresponds to the OOC apology mentioned in my post's preface. Because the texture of the slippers differed greatly from the character's original temperament, I tried adding some playful leg lifts and casual sitting poses during the shoot, hoping to create a natural, non-conflicting sense of gap moe.

Regarding props, that pixel-art pillow with a white base and blue patterns was also a part I carefully matched. The geometric zigzag patterns and asymmetrical sharp corners on the pillow form a wonderful visual echo with the diamond grids of the overall clothing. Under the light blue studio background, I adopted uniform diffuse reflection lighting to eliminate harsh shadows and create a transparent, ethereal atmosphere. This clean, high-key background is perfect for showcasing white clothing and light-colored wigs, making the overall image look fresher and more in line with the character's visual effect of being in a world of ice, snow, and dreams.

The pose design during the shooting process also took a lot of thought. When standing, I tried to display the layered distribution of the costume, letting the skirt hem and shawl present a flowing, dynamic motion. While sitting on the black folding chair, the focus was on emphasizing the leg lines and the volume of the slippers. For hand movements, I avoided excessive messiness and tried to keep the gestures in a state that was both relaxed and powerful, so as to fit the character's core personality of going her own way while remaining focused on certain things.

In terms of post-processing color grading, I chose a low-contrast, slightly cyan-blue tone to unify the style of this set of photos, slightly weakening the saturation of the purple hair to blend it better with the blue clothes, which is also a concrete expression of my love for this character as a player and creator. This cosplay photography sharing experience took a considerable amount of time to prepare, from costume pattern-making and wig styling to the actual studio shoot. Through this Anime cosplay presentation, I hope to combine the character's traits, outfit design, and my envisioned interactive scenarios as much as possible within my own understanding, bringing everyone a vivid visual experience that stands out from rigid posing.
