This Columbina Cosplay creation centered around the theme "Under the Moonlight" in Genshin Impact was actually in preparation for quite a long time. To faithfully capture her aloof, mysterious, and distant aura, our early planning locked onto an outdoor night-time water setting.

Let me share the styling insights behind this recreation. Costume-wise, the blue-and-white dress serves as the visual centerpiece, with a design emphasizing flowing movement and rich layering. Key detail highlights include the cut-out crisscross strappings at the neckline and shoulders, paired with metallic gold chest ornaments that elevate overall refinement. To ensure the fabric exhibited a natural, graceful drape during night shooting, we spent considerable effort smoothing out skirt pleats and sleeve layering before rolling, as water currents and environmental elements easily warp garment silhouettes.

Wig styling and facial makeup were equally critical. A black wig featuring bright red streak highlights framing the temples, complemented by blunt bangs, beautifully contours face shape. For makeup, I selected a cool, porcelain-white foundation base aligning with her concept design, placing special emphasis on lengthening eye contours toward the outer corners. Paired with custom pale purple contact lenses, her gaze appears serene and unruffled, perfectly capturing her calm yet chilling composure.

The entire production tested on-site technical coordination severely. We set up a giant semicircular artificial moon prop behind the subject, utilizing high-power softboxes to project a cool blue moonlight glow. During live shooting, the key light focused on face and shoulders, rimming hair edges and shoulder contours with crisp rim lighting. Selecting the right seated posture required several trial runs—ensuring the dress hem spread naturally into the water without appearing stiff. Sitting directly in the shallow shallows, the flowing water soaked the skirt hem, making its texture appear heavier and smoother.
