Unboxing the merchandise from the Dao of the Bizarre Immortal Crackle Glaze Series, and took a few pictures of the Bai Lingmiao look along the way. This outfit is a modified version of a traditional style Hanfu, with a white main color tone paired with red and blue interwoven brocade borders, looking very flowy when worn. The wig is silver-white long straight hair styled with side-swept bangs, paired with the red bead chain ornament on the forehead; I personally think the overall level of restoration is decent. For the makeup, I used red-toned eyeshadow and lip color, wanting to bring out a slightly yandere yet cold and detached feeling. After all, the character Bai Lingmiao goes through a very complex experience in the original novel, so the styling needs to balance both an ethereal aura and a sense of fragile brokenness. The merchandise from the Crackle Glaze Series has an excellent texture; the designs on the paper box and badges are highly delicate, especially the badges of Zhuge Yuan and Li Huowang, which are packed with details. This time, I specially took two phone selfies while holding my mobile phone. The light hitting the white hair creates a soft focus effect, and I slightly adjusted the skin tone in post-processing to make the frame more translucent. The drape of the Hanfu's wide sleeves and waist belt is critical; during the shoot, I used the sofa for support, and the white thigh-highs on the legs paired with the phoenix embroidery on the white shoes keep the overall style leaning gentle. Actually, this costume has many details, such as the geometric patterns on the cuffs and the red lacing at the waist, which need to be straightened out carefully when wearing to fit perfectly. It wasn't until after shooting that I realized the merchandise and the costume look exceptionally matching together—the dark style of the crackle glaze forms an interesting contrast with the softness of the Hanfu. Unwrapping the blind bags slowly at home over the weekend brought surprises in every pack; this kind of immersive experience is truly healing and makes me feel closer to the character.
