When shooting this Sunna swimsuit look by the seaside beach, actually from when I first saw the design art, I felt it matched the seaside beach scene exceptionally well. To present the best effect, preparations took a long time before heading out, especially with the wig management. The light green hair tangled easily under the sea breeze, so I had to constantly comb and style it between shooting intervals. The makeup intentionally emphasized pink eyeshadow and red contact lenses, hoping to get close to the character's lively yet slightly rebellious vibe.
The sunlight on the day of the shoot was very abundant; although the light by the seaside beach was good, direct sunlight on the skin made it hard to keep my eyes open. To avoid stiff expressions, I kept trying to adjust angles. There are quite a few details to this outfit; the headband with black cat ears and a bow on the head is the highlight of the entire styling. The pink one-piece swimsuit is printed with cute cartoon patterns. To increase layering, I also matched it with black-and-white striped knitted sleevelets, as well as black leather straps around the neck and legs. This collision of pink and black preserves a girl's playfulness while adding a bit of edgy personality.
In terms of props, a transparent inflatable swim ring was used. Striking poses while sitting on it was actually harder than imagined because the soft seaside beach made it tricky to maintain balance while also taking care of limb extension. For the first set of actions, I tried a posture of stretching one hand upward with my gaze looking at the camera, hoping to convey a lively and cheerful emotion. The next few shots adjusted the sitting posture with crossed legs, allowing the lens to better capture leg lines and strap details. Gusts of sea breeze blew by, causing the hair to flutter with the wind, carrying a very natural aesthetic beauty.
During the shooting process, the fine sand underfoot also became a great interactive element. Walking barefoot on the seaside beach occasionally picked up some sand, which instead added a touch of genuine liveliness to the photos. Because shooting near the seaside wearing tights makes it easy to get stained with sand, when shooting leg close-ups, I specifically paid attention to the state of the white stockings, keeping the frame as clean as possible. Although shooting this entire styling was hard work and the sun made my skin burning hot, seeing the images in the camera made all the fatigue feel completely worthwhile. This Sunna swimsuit styling, blending the refreshing feel of the seaside beach with my understanding of the character's cuteness, was an unforgettable shooting experience. I hope everyone can feel the summer atmosphere conveyed in the photos. For this shoot, the matching of props and costumes was adjusted back and forth several times, solely to present the most natural state in front of the lens. From the wig's color to the sleevelets' texture, every detail was repeatedly confirmed. Although the seaside environment poses a test for both makeup and hairstyle, this kind of image carrying a natural breath is precisely the effect I wanted.
