[Chisa cosplay] Pink summer by the sea in Wuthering Waves - Image 1

For this Chisa swimsuit shoot, I mainly focused my energy on presenting costume details and dynamic capturing. This pink-and-white plaid bikini set, although looking lightweight, has a lot of straps. The bow on the top and the straps at the waist are very prone to deformation under the impact of the waves, so I prepared double-sided tape and transparent bobby pins in advance to invisibly secure the key positions, ensuring a smooth visual effect in front of the lens at all times. That layer of semi-transparent tulle skirt hem around the waist is definitely the finishing touch, but it's really a sea breeze detector. To capture the moment when the skirt hem presents a perfect arc, I needed to repeatedly look for suitable wind speed and direction in the shallow water area, while coordinating with a lively posture of standing on one leg and spreading arms out. This action is very easy to do on flat ground, but standing on the slippery beach while maintaining the stability of the body's center of gravity made my toes secretly exert strength inside the shoes. As for the pink strapped high heels on my feet, to make them waterproof and anti-slip, I also made some minor treatments on the soles before the shoot.

In terms of makeup, to fit the ACG art style, I heavily emphasized the contour of the eye area. Deepening the shadow of the lower eyelid, paired with this black blunt-bangs long hair, makes the eyes look bigger and more spirited. Wigs are definitely high-risk items at the seaside; the salt and moisture in the sea breeze easily cause the hair strands to tangle. During the shoot, I tried my best to avoid getting a large area of the hair wet, and once it got slightly messy, I would immediately tidy it up with a comb to maintain the smoothness of the hair strands, otherwise, zooming in on the photos would reveal a lot of frizzy stray hairs.

The transparent ring prop in my hand was originally intended to create a lightweight swim ring feel. When held in front of me, paired with the soft evening side-backlight, the edges would reflect a faint halo, which matches the pink-toned outfit extremely well. To capture the splashing water effect around my feet in the frame, I increased the camera's shutter speed and used burst mode to capture the moment when water droplets hung suspended in the air. The lighting at the seaside changes very quickly; to maintain the clarity of the subject under backlight, the exposure compensation needed to be constantly adjusted.

Choosing to shoot at sunset has always been my habit. This low-angle upward shooting perspective can greatly elongate body proportions while fully incorporating the gradient evening glow sky into the background. The shallow beach after low tide is filled with water, forming a natural reflector, and the reflections give the frame a greater sense of breathing space. However, the biggest challenge of shooting at the seaside is the wind; to prevent the hair from completely blocking the face, I would turn slightly sideways, or adjust the head angle according to the direction of the wind, making the hair present a natural fluttering feel. That blurry figure in the distance was actually a passerby who accidentally entered the frame, but instead, it added a touch of genuine everyday life atmosphere to this sea. This attempt gave me more insights into outdoor dynamic shooting, and I hope to perfectly convey this refreshing feeling of summer by the sea.
