[Phoebe Cosplay] Wuthering Waves: Phoebe, May the Light Be with You

The character I portrayed this time is Phoebe from Wuthering Waves. When I received this costume, the first thing that caught my eye was that blue cape adorned with golden star-and-moon motifs; its drape and sheen looked exceptionally textured under the lights. To faithfully recreate the character, I wore a blonde long curly wig, carefully styling the curvature of the bangs and twin tails to achieve the most natural hair flow on camera. For makeup, to complement her ethereal, airy presence, I chose blue contact lenses and deepened the blending under the eyes and outer corners to give my gaze more depth.

The shoot location was an indoor studio decorated with a white wrought-iron bench and pale blue sheer drapes. The white cutout arch in the background and the floral arrangements on both sides harmoniously echoed the color palette of the costume. I wore a white ruffled dress with black spliced color blocks at the shoulders, draped in that vivid blue outer cape. Below, I wore white tights (White stockings), which was one of my favorite parts of this look; pairing the White stockings with the white ruffled skirt created a beautifully cohesive visual aesthetic. Barefoot without shoes, stepping directly onto the white plush rug while pointing my insteps made the leg lines appear even more slender and elongated.

Since the shoot was seated, I experimented with poses from varied angles—sitting on the bench with legs crossed, or resting one foot on the bench edge while letting the other drape down naturally. Wearing short black gloves on my hands added a sharp color contrast that prevented the outfit from feeling monotonous. Throughout the shoot, I continually communicated with the photographer on managing chiaroscuro. Because the background was already predominantly light blue and white, lighting required special attention to sculpting facial contours to prevent the subject from appearing flat. From trial makeup to the final cuts, this set took about a week; with every cosplay, I strive to deeply embody the character's temperament, not just replicating the garments, but aligning facial nuances and body language. Tassels and golden accents on the outfit produced subtle highlights on camera, and we adjusted angles slightly to prevent overexposure.
