Before getting my hands on the actual swimsuit, I had been second-guessing it for quite a while. When looking at the concept art previously, I always felt that the combination of pink-and-white plaid and all the fussy ruffles looked a bit tacky, and I even complained about it to my friends several times. But the moment I got fully suited up with all the accessories and stood in front of the mirror, I immediately took back what I had said—the actual outfit was surprisingly adorable. The pink-and-white checkered fabric is very light and airy, and the ruffles and pink polka-dot bows along the trim, rather than feeling cumbersome, added a sweet sense of layering. The white straps around the waist and floral decorations on the side flattered my silhouette just right, presenting a style that is both playful and subtly sexy. It seems one's aesthetic really does evolve with time and experimentation.

To complement this outfit, I also put a lot of thought into the hair and makeup styling. For the wig, I chose long straight black hair with blunt bangs styled into twin tails, tying pink bows and delicate ribbons to the hair ends and sideburns. Together with the white nurse cap and floral earrings, the anime atmosphere was brought out immediately. To match the character's temperament, I specifically chose red contact lenses, and used reddish tones for the eye makeup to enhance the depth of my gaze. The outfit itself is a crop-top halter style with crisscrossed white straps on the chest, paired with detachable translucent white tulle arm sleeves on the arms, which flatter the arm lines without obscuring the outfit's own details.

The set arrangement on shooting day was also very interesting. The background was a clean light-blue gradient backdrop, and beneath my feet was a reflective black circular podium with a subtle watery reflection effect on the floor, while a bouquet of white-and-yellow floral props was placed along the edge. The lighting leaned toward cool tones overall, which happened to bring out the softness of the pink-and-white attire nicely. In designing poses, because this Swimsuit cosplay reveals quite a bit of skin, presenting body lines naturally became very crucial.

While shooting standing up, I tried a pose resting my chin in one hand while crossing the other arm, which visually elongated the neck lines while accentuating waist curves. Later, the photographer wanted to add more interactivity, so I picked up a slender prop wand and pointed it at the lens with my body leaning slightly forward—an angle that nicely showcased the proportions of the bust and collarbones, while holding a small package box in my left hand kept the shot from feeling monotonous. When shooting seated, I crossed my legs on the platform, allowing the floral ankle cuffs and pink platform lace-up sandals to serve as visual anchor points. Since the skirt is a pleated micro-skirt with fluttering pink ribbons along the sides, the naturally draped skirt hem when sitting formed a lovely harmony with the pink thigh ring on my leg.

Throughout the entire process, what surprised me most was how photogenic this outfit was in front of the lens. Although the color scheme looks simple, under cool lighting the pink plaid looked remarkably clean rather than overly cloying. When capturing details, the photographer specifically emphasized the textures of certain accessories, such as the pink trim of the nurse cap, the floral patterns at the ankles, and the delicate pieces around the waist. Reviewing the photos after the shoot, I was even more convinced that the accuracy and on-body effect of this swimsuit were far better than I had initially imagined. This attempt also made me realize that we often shouldn't judge solely by first impressions; wearing it in person, experiencing it, and adjusting it often brings unexpected rewards.
