Every single step of Perler beads craft is full of pitfalls, each one agonizing, yet looking at the finished piece makes it feel truly worth it. The original plan was to make a full-body Aemeath from Wuthering Waves, but the workload was simply immense—toward the end, my hands were cramping and my eyes were burning. To keep from burning out completely, I decisively switched to a bust portrait, allowing me to concentrate all my attention on upper-body details.
The gradient on the sunglasses used several shades of blue beads for smooth transitions. For the hair's primary palette, I chose orange and dark red with white highlights, requiring extreme precision since with pixel art, a single misplaced color completely throws off the look. The most taxing part on the eyes was the interplay of dark tones and white lines around the collar, where misplacements happened easily and forced me to dismantle and redo sections multiple times.
Ironing was another major hurdle—too high a temperature melts the beads into a blob, while too low leaves them falling apart. My hands were shaking with nerves, terrified of ruining hours of hard work with one careless move. Fortunately, the finished piece came out nice and flat; the pixelated bust charm is super cute, and holding it in hand gives a huge rush of accomplishment.
Honestly, there were moments during crafting where I regretted putting myself through this, but the healing sensation the moment it was finished is irreplaceable. Because I only made the bust, it paired perfectly with that specific Anime cosplay outfit; wearing the white gloves and choker, the character vibe clicked right into place.

Although plans change and scaling down from full-body to a bust was necessary, the bust proportions ended up highlighting the facial details and accessories even better.
