[Venti Cosplay] The Gentle Breeze of Mondstadt, Accompanied by the Scent of Apples

Today, I personally really love how this Venti cosplay client photo set turned out in front of the lens, so taking advantage of some free time this weekend, I'm organizing and sharing these light-and-shadow memories of Mondstadt's bard with everyone.

Let's talk about makeup and styling first. To better fit the character's agile, relaxed, and slightly untamed disposition, I specifically chose warm-toned eye makeup this time, placing focus on eyeliner and eyelashes. Paired with green contact lenses, I hoped to convey that clear yet playful look in his eyes. The wig was styled very carefully—the messy strands at the crown and the blue braids on both sides are the finishing touches, where slightly untamed hair strands actually bring out more of an Anemo elemental feel.

The costume is the classic dark green cape paired with a white shirt. This layering creates a strong sense of depth; the outer cape is crisp and structured, with exquisite gold threading and subtle dark patterns along the edges. The inner white shirt features a ruffled collar design paired with a black gold-trimmed bow knot, carrying a subtle medieval vintage charm. A detail people rarely notice is that the metallic buttons and ruffles on the shirt cuffs also significantly enhance the character's delicate look. I really love the hat on his head—that white flower bud and green leaf decoration on the side is one of the most recognizable parts of the entire look.

The props prepared for this shoot were quite complete, including replicated old-era books, a feather quill, an exquisite wooden small lyre, and a white violin. Most interesting were those small gold coins and the wine glass filled with amber wine. In the photographer's eyes, using these small props to portray Venti's bard traits made it very easy to evoke an atmospheric feel during shooting.

The venue was set up into two areas. One was an indoor vintage wooden desk paired with a dark leather sofa; combined with soft warm lighting, it was perfect for presenting the character's slightly tipsy, leisurely, and subtly mysterious state. The other was an outdoor floral rack and greenery area filled with clusters of pink artificial flowers and a wooden swing, creating an atmosphere as gentle as a spring breeze.

In different settings, the character's state changes completely. For example, the photo where I rest my chin on my hand while sitting on the swing really delivered the relaxed feel I wanted. Meanwhile, the shot holding the white violin leaned more toward artistic sense and engrossed dedication. And in front of the wooden desk, holding a gold coin between my fingertips while looking into the camera created a narrative tension that felt quite powerful.

During the shoot, there were also many fun little anecdotes. For instance, that white violin couldn't actually play real music and existed merely as an important visual prop; and when balancing a book on my head, I had to try angles over and over again to find balance. Yet precisely because of these small challenges, the final photos feel so much warmer.

I've always believed that a good cosplay work isn't just about wearing gorgeous clothing; more importantly, it's about capturing the character's soul in front of the camera. Even a subtle touch in the eyes or a small gesture between fingers can bring the character to life. This shoot experience at the Selfie studio was fantastic—transitions between indoor and outdoor sets were very smooth, and the lighting technician was great at capturing angles, perfectly bringing out the textures of the costume and props for those interested in Shanghai photoshoot booking.

The character Venti himself inherently carries a free musical aura and a carefree vibe, so facing the camera, I didn't need to force unnatural poses—I just needed to relax and immerse myself in this bard's wandering atmosphere. I'm very satisfied with the results of this shoot, and when making final photo selections, several atmospheric shots were truly hard to part with.
