This outdoor location shoot for the Arknights Goldenglow Sanrio collaboration look was set in the sea of flowers at Foshan Park.

The shooting gear utilized a telephoto lens paired with a moderate wide aperture, which effectively blurred out cluttered background pedestrians and distant trees while preserving the pink cosmos flowers in the foreground. Because it was shot in January, the winter sunlight had a lower angle and felt rather harsh, so we deliberately used soft light diffusers during fill lighting to ensure even illumination on the face without cast shadows.

Regarding hair and makeup, this red-and-white dress features a voluminous skirt stacked with multiple layers of ruffles, which placed certain constraints on body posture display. To showcase Goldenglow's character traits, I paired it with a long wavy pink wig; the ribbon-and-heart headpiece on top required very secure fastening to prevent it from slipping. For props, the heart-shaped magic wand is quite bulky, featuring a clear crystal dome and inner fillings that give it noticeable weight, requiring extra care when moving through the flower field to avoid catching on plants.

The socks for this shoot featured White striped tights with pink stripes on a white base, which visually elongated the leg lines. To showcase the legs more flatteringly, I adopted poses sitting on a black stool or crouching slightly angled amidst the flowers. Crouching highlights both the leg contours and upper-body curves, serving as a classic sweet-style pose. Low-angle framing in flower fields is quite tricky since one must avoid getting dirt on the face while ensuring the skirt hem doesn't completely conceal the feet. The floral bloom period is long, but the dense planting left no extra pathways for walking.

Shooting coincided with peak park visitor hours, so to avoid passersby in the frame, we found several wider gaps in the flower field for stationary shooting. Photographer NightDiva handled lighting masterfully: the azure sky and pinkish-purple sea of flowers created a harmonious warm-and-cool contrast, beautifully setting off the red and white costume. To add texture to the images, post-processing adopted a cooler, moodier blue tone while preserving shadow details without excessively lifting the blacks.

Considering the outdoor terrain where high heels make walking difficult, I opted for matching flat shoes with white tights, ensuring comfort in muddy soil while matching the overall sweet aesthetic. Posing required ongoing adjustments—for instance, lifting a hand to touch the hair accessory created visual interactivity while keeping the wig from getting disheveled in the wind. Since the dress has a relaxed chest and waist cut, crouching postures often better accentuated its three-dimensional drape. To deliver the best visual outcome, we switched focal depths between wide shots showcasing the location and close-ups focusing on expressions and catchlights in the eyes.

Makeup accuracy centered on modifying the eye shape: eyeliner was kept flatter and eyelashes were kept natural to reflect Goldenglow's gentle expression. The overall color grading leaned towards a vintage film texture, enhancing the fusion between subject and environment. Reviewing the photos after the shoot, the high color saturation of the flower sea did not appear overly gaudy. Because the lighting shifted rapidly that day, capturing frames during windless moments when sunlight filtered through the clouds was crucial to avoid motion-blurred petals.

The workload and walking distance for this outdoor shoot were considerable, but the entire process went smoothly. The finished results received great feedback regarding styling details and expression recreation, making for a truly heartfelt winter photographic record.
