Luo Xiaobai's daily state in The Legend of Luo Xiao-Hei always carries a pure, natural sense of childish fun and vitality. After discussing with photographer @word刀盾, we decided to focus on the key concepts of "store-visiting photo shoot" and "elementary school outing" to present a complete visual story.

Regarding styling, for the character's signature short hair, I specifically layered the Pink wig, retaining that iconic "ahoge" at the top and pairing it with slightly curled ends to add a touch of cuteness. For makeup, I took a minimalist approach, focusing on creating a clear, flawless base; eye makeup that enlarges the eyes paired with nude glossy lipstick aimed to show Xiaobai's gentle, approachable girl-next-door temperament. For clothing, I selected a white puff-sleeve top under a light pink loose jumper dress, complemented by pure white short socks and black Mary Jane shoes—an Anime-style fashion centered on cotton textures with a natural, everyday feel. Notably, I specifically chose light green nail polish to create a cool-warm color clash against the pink outfit during gestures, a subtle detail that makes the frame even more vivid.

During the shoot, we prepared two different scene setups. The first was indoors, where we selected a venue featuring workshop elements, with carved wooden cabinets, lace curtains, and dried flowers in the background. For props, the photographer and I set up plush teddy bears, yarn balls, a vintage lantern, and ceramic mini-cakes. Sitting on a wooden chair with the lantern in hand, I mimicked exploring inside a fairytale log cabin. Then, utilizing the photographer's wide-angle lens, we shot a high-angle overhead view of me leaning over to interact with the cake; the raw wood grain of the table paired with the yellow-green decorations on the cream cake looked incredibly appetizing. Meanwhile, a white wooden mini-house model combined with a wooden tray's details brought the cozy workshop atmosphere to its peak.

For the second setup, we moved outdoors to a wooden deck next to a row of white wooden fences, surrounded by blue-purple flowers and evergreen plants. Changing natural light made the wig reflect a translucent shade, which complemented the outdoor sunlight to create a healthy complexion. I adjusted various poses on the deck, stretching my arms and legs with dynamic, jumping movements. The white socks and black leather shoes nicely outlined my leg profile against the wooden floor background. The photographer utilized a large aperture in Cosplay photography to blur the foreground foliage and background wooden house, isolating the subject so that visual focus remained sharply centered on the character.

On the level of character understanding, Luo Xiaobai herself possesses a childish simplicity; in portraying her, I needed to balance liveliness and innocence without being overly forced. The photographer's candid captures were spot-on, particularly the shots taken while I naturally tidied my hair or casually sat down, which best restored the character's essence. This shoot gave me a deeper realization that cosplay isn't just putting on a wig and costume, but recreating the character's living state through scene composition and emotional expression. I hope this photo set lets everyone see a comfortable, relaxed Luo Xiaobai stepping straight out of the animation.
