For this outfit dominated by light purple and white, before leaving the house today I still felt I was in great shape, but upon arriving at the shooting site, I encountered various unexpected minor troubles. The steps were much harder than anticipated, the prop easily caused a loss of balance due to its length, and combined with the gloomy weather, it felt like my entire vibe was dragged down by the atmosphere.

Actually, looking at the design of this outfit and the prop alone, it still carries that dreaminess typical of a pink and white themed magical girl. The small white wings and pink star hair accessories on top of my head, paired with the gradient light pink wig, were originally supposed to be major highlights. For this white-dominated dress, the blue-purple bow at the neckline and the small heart-shaped pendant are very detailed, and the layered ruffles on the skirt hem indeed have quite a few folds. The lower body features white and light purple alternating horizontal-striped over-the-knee socks, combined with small wings at the ankles and shoes adorned with pink stars, making the overall look both well-behaved and slightly playful.

However, the biggest challenge was still that long prop in my hand. It is simply too long, making it extremely exhausting to lift it up and strike aggressive actions. Whether standing or sitting, the center of gravity would tilt to one side if I didn't pay attention even slightly during a movement. Moreover, the surface of these outdoor stone steps is not very flat, and maintaining slip resistance while stepping on them relied entirely on that tiny bit of friction from the soles, making it easy for minor situations to occur if I wasn't careful.

The second image showing me sitting with my knees hugged is actually the moment that closest matches my true mental state today. Placing the long magical prop to one side and curling up with both hands wrapping my legs, at that moment I really felt like giving up resistance. The wind was a bit strong, blowing the wig all over the place, and my makeup got a bit oily; it felt like no matter how hard I tried, it was tough to capture that exquisite feel originally anticipated. This kind of 'looks like I messed up' experience is often the most authentic part of a photoshoot process, marking today's epic fail.

But looking back carefully at the raw photos in the camera, these casual, even slightly aggrieved snapshots are actually much more vivid than deliberately striking cool poses. Many times we always want to portray a character flawlessly with specific curves and specific expressions, but when the entire environment and state are out of control, simply letting yourself relax and naturally recording these somewhat embarrassed moments feels quite interesting instead.

Despite encountering minor setbacks today like uncomfortable stairs to sit on, a hard-to-hold prop, and unsupportive weather, this outfit packed with pink, white, and light purple elements remains my absolute favorite. The stars on the hairstyle, the ruffles on the wrists, the stripes on the calves, and the small wings on the shoes—these details combined by themselves already possess high recognition for this anime outfit styling. Today I failed to shoot the most successful fully-armed state, but leaving behind a few casual and authentic photos can be considered a special commemoration for this 'messed up' shooting day. I hope next time we can switch to a sunny and flat location to better showcase this look during our next outdoor portrait photography session.
