This set of Ganyu doujin outfit put a lot of thought into the details, especially the three-dimensional sense and draping of the golden glazed pattern ornament at the neckline. To recreate this luster, several glossy fabrics were repeatedly compared. The layered accumulation of the white sheer skirt was also specially treated to be lightweight, so that the skirt hem can float gracefully during dynamic movements without looking heavy. The color of the wig was adjusted many times to achieve this translucent ice blue, which, when paired with the red and black contrasting hair accessories, provides a visual contrast that perfectly balances the warm and cold tones.
During the shoot, three different states of interaction were attempted: raising both hands elongated the body lines to look more dynamic; the half-lying posture is closer to the character's usual lazy yet slightly playful demeanor; the front close-up relied entirely on the details of the eyes and eye makeup to express that feeling somewhere between cool detachment and gentle warmth. A dark blue velvet curtain was chosen for the background, which brings out the fairness of the skin while making the red of the hair accessories even more eye-catching. Every time doing an outdoor shoot, the biggest fear is the wig getting messed up by the wind, but the advantage of shooting indoors is being able to tidy up styling details at any time—including the golden nail pieces on the fingertips and the direction of the hair strands behind the ears. These subtle nuances are often what best reflect the character's texture. I hope to present this ethereal temperament naturally; it's not just about physical resemblance, but bringing out a bit of that paradoxical sense of coexistence between aloofness and approachability belonging to a Liyue adeptus through gestures and movements.
