[Remielle cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero Dark Gothic style invitation to an accomplice

Cosplaying Remielle from Zenless Zone Zero this time, the overall style leaned toward Dark Gothic style. The garment materials mainly feature patent leather and mesh; the chest combines a white bow tie with generous cutouts, while the lower half is a mini skirt gleaming with starlight motifs and metallic luster, paired with black garter stockings and studded high heels. To recreate the character's persona, I wore pointed elf ears and red contact lenses. The wig was layered with precision so the short pink hair reflects varied cool and warm tones under the lights, accented by a small ribbon and silver star hair clips atop the crown.

The prop team prepared a colossal black cross wrapped in iron chains, and the scene was adorned with black iron birdcages and clusters of red roses, with the giant red clock marked with Roman numerals serving as the visual anchor of the frame. Collaborating with photographer Little Martin from Arsenal, we invested immense thought into lighting. To make the subject pop, intense red ambient light saturated the background, while cool white key lights illuminated my face and body—the red-and-black clash injected the composition with sheer dramatic tension. Reflectors were also deployed on set to highlight the metallic sheen of the leather skirt, ensuring the fabric's fine textures remained razor-sharp.

In terms of posing, whether crossing legs while perched on a high-back chair or half-kneeling to clasp the chain-wrapped cross, maintaining a composed, effortless sense of intimidation was crucial. Remielle's dangerous yet seductive quality demands relaxed body language and a nuanced gaze. My standing and seated postures throughout the shots strived to showcase the tailoring of the outfit, particularly the synergy between the Black stockings and the leather skirt. During shooting, to prevent the wide skirt silhouette and wing props from appearing bulky, I constantly readjusted seated angles, extending leg lines forward and using wide-angle edge perspective to elongate proportions.

Capturing this series was physically exhausting, especially with the hefty black wing props demanding a straight, upright posture at all times. Yet witnessing the texture of the light and shadow in the final shots made every moment worthwhile. Dark-style shoots place high demands on the eyes—neither too blank nor overly dramatic, but carrying that tacit, probing tension shared between accomplices. The set was profoundly immersive; the placement of birdcages and crosses let that oppressive yet opulent atmosphere surface effortlessly, allowing me simply to react within the space. Every shutter click sought to freeze the instant truest to the character, and the resulting visual impact completely met our original expectations.
