The focus of this Touhou Project Cirno cosplay was to capture the crystalline ice aesthetic of the character and blend it naturally into the outdoor environment. To recreate the iconic ice wings from the original lore, I deliberately chose a translucent material with diamond-cut facets that refracted delicate light and shadow as sunlight passed through. The outfit is a Lolita style with a classic Blue and white color scheme, featuring lantern sleeves and layers of lace and tulle along the skirt, with a red bow as a striking accent to prevent the cool-toned palette from looking monotonous.

The location chosen for this Waterscape photography session was a swift-flowing stream. Shooting on-site meant overcoming the rushing water—the skirt was prone to getting soaked by splashes, yet the shape and styling had to be maintained. Being barefoot, stepping onto the wet, moss-covered rocks demanded extreme caution to ensure the legs stretched gracefully in frame without slipping. I experimented with various dynamic poses, such as kicking the water with one foot to catch splashing droplets or curling up and hugging my knees to highlight the character's petite cuteness. The photographer skillfully utilized light, harnessing surface reflections from the water and dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy to create a dreamy woodland atmosphere. The resulting shots turned out wonderfully: the water refractions, the billowing skirt, and the translucent wings closely aligned with the character's persona. Post-processing leaned toward a clean, luminous cyan-blue palette, dimming the background to let dappled highlights rest on the subject for a strikingly translucent Anime-style photography finish.
