[Sakiko Toyokawa cosplay] Arknights Melody: Dark Night Phantom in Black Dress & White stockings - Image 1

This shoot was an attempt at portraying Sakiko Toyokawa from Arknights. The styling centered around a sharp black-and-white contrast: the wig is long, wavy, and light silver-blue, while the horns on top feature distinct textures and gold ornaments, which took careful positioning to ensure they stayed firmly secured. The off-shoulder black lace dress paired with generous white satin ribbons delivered strong visual impact. During the shoot, a high-angle overhead perspective was deliberately chosen, which, combined with forward-reaching hand gestures, added dynamic tension to the visual storytelling. The White stockings are adorned with blue crystal rhinestones, illuminated beautifully by side backlight from this angle to showcase the texture of the stockings themselves.

The on-set lighting relied primarily on warm light coming from behind, creating a rich contrast against the cool-toned backdrop to give the frame three-dimensional depth while accentuating skin translucency. To adjust the folds of the skirt hem and ensure the lace and ribbons draped naturally, I tested seated postures multiple times while minding arm silhouette lines due to the off-shoulder cut. In post-processing, heavy skin blurring was avoided to preserve authentic skin texture, applying dedicated glow enhancements to the rhinestones on the White stockings to elevate the mysterious ambiance. This Gothic style cosplay attire, paired with specific camera angles, beautifully captured the character's cool elegance—making this Anime-style photography set one of my most satisfying recent works.
