The photos from my Tachibana Nozomi shoot from Blue Archive are finally out! Let me share the behind-the-scenes preparation and on-set details with everyone. When I received this deep navy uniform, I inspected the fabric closely: the vibrant bright-blue trim along the collar and cuffs was impeccably flat and crisp, paired with double-breasted golden buttons and shoulder aiguillettes that gave the tailored silhouette a sharp, dashing structure.

To authentically capture the character's traits, wig stylist Lingxi layered this vivid bright-green wig beautifully—it not only contoured my face shape, but the fiber sheen looked remarkably natural under the studio strobes. Combined with the bright green halo prop overhead, it truly felt like stepping right through the two-dimensional veil. We shot at the Changchun Changxi branch of the Shihun Photography Studio. The classroom set was incredibly immersive, with authentic details on the whiteboard and desks that fit the Blue Archive aesthetic perfectly.

To embody Nozomi's cheeky, tsundere personality, we deliberated extensively over pose direction. The photographer, Haise, suggested that since I was wearing White stockings and shorts, utilizing the classroom desk as a foreground anchor would work brilliantly. That led to the shot sitting atop the desk with crossed legs—a pose that elongated the leg lines while allowing the pure White stockings to pop vividly against the dark navy uniform and muted desk furniture, injecting subtle charm and striking visual impact that immediately commands attention.

Beyond showcasing leg lines, upper-body nuances were equally vital. Hand gestures wearing white gloves were key to conveying character emotion—such as lightly caressing a cheek with one hand or holding the blue-and-white striped uniform cap, paired with a slightly raised chin and an aloof gaze, easily nailing Nozomi's mischievous, subtly plotting expression. Wearing the prosthetic elf ears was another focal point; while the ear clips pinched a bit after hours of wear, they added delightful vivacity to profile angles. In a classroom setting, making great use of readily available desks to balance everyday casualness with anime flair makes the imagery far more dynamic.

Although the weather in Changchun was freezing, inside the studio I pushed to keep my peak energy for this shorts-and-White stockings ensemble, constantly smoothing the gloves and garment edges to protect textural quality. For an exceptional cosplay piece, harmony among wardrobe, props, makeup, and scenery is paramount. From initial costume fitting to calibrating strobe angles on set and fine-tuning the halo prop and wig, everyone focused on the smallest details. This shoot gave me deeper insight into using body language and lens presence to express a character's soul, and I hope this set conveys Nozomi's charm to everyone!
