Regarding the styling of Ruan Mei, it lies not only in colors and textures but even more in that elegant charm. It just happens to use the chess board as an introduction, placing pieces silently, presented in a comfortable posture. This time, instead of choosing complex outdoor real scenes, we returned to the minimalist environment of a home white wall and a plush carpet, the purpose being to let the color layers of the costume and the character herself become the absolute main body of the frame.

These two selfies everyone sees are purely relaxing moments during shooting intervals. Covering the face with the phone and lying prone on the carpet to raise the smartphone selfie is a relatively casual and character-matching shooting method. The character I am playing inherently possesses a cool, indifferent, and elegant trait in her setting, so even if the movement is lying prone, I hope to deliver that sense of quietude outside the hustle and bustle through body language, such as legs slightly curled up, hands naturally holding the phone, and the display of gold-rimmed metal buckles on the gloves. The gold lines of the hair accessories paired with cyan-blue highlights complement the deep blue-green, white, and tassel at the skirt hem beautifully.

This set of costumes is highly particular in fabric selection; the white part worn close to the skin is skin-friendly and soft, while the blue skirt hem part carries a certain crispness, which ensures that the entire outline of the clothes won't look collapsed when lying down. The design of the long gloves is the finishing touch; it not only covers the entire forearm but the gold stitching and decorations on it enhance the overall exquisite refinement. Even if it's a simple prone posture, I must keep the lines of the shoulders and arms stretched to restore that feeling of 'always elegant' for the character. I believe that excellent cosplay is not just a duplication of appearance but a capture of the charm.

Lastly, let's chat about this time's theme—playing chess. Life itself is like a big chess game; we place pieces, struggle, and think within it. In occasional leisure, being able to change into such a complex yet exquisite costume, putting away the busyness of the phone, and simply lying comfortably on the soft carpet to record this time belonging to oneself with a lens is also a highly healing experience. What these photos want to deliver to the viewer is a comfortable, pure, and non-contending attitude toward life, which is probably also the unique light carried by this character in my mind.
