This creative work under the "Evernight" theme placed its focus during the preparation phase on the scene's atmosphere and the matching of props. Large pieces of red and white two-tone fabric drapes were hung from the top frame of the entire space, building a deep visual perspective akin to a classical theatrical stage or an indoor art studio through their staggered, cascading drapes. The ground was intentionally laid with highly reflective materials, a shooting element I personally love; it not only extends the depth of field of the image but also precisely captures the reflections of the red rose petals and the character's silhouette at one's feet, creating a dreamy atmosphere of traversing through a rainy night with mist.

The prop team prepared several black umbrellas printed with red maple leaf patterns in advance, as well as vintage golden-framed Roman columns, and a classic wooden easel and canvas. Rather than being awkwardly stacked in the scene, these props echoed the hanging drapes spatially through their placement angles. For example, the closed black umbrella or the red rose petals scattered across the reflective ground helped converge the visual centerpiece.

Regarding the costume, a classic combination based on black, white, and red was chosen. The white off-the-shoulder lantern-sleeve design of the top paired with a black waist-cinching jacket, along with silver chains and red bowknot decorations accentuating the outfit, added texture and breathing room to the overall look. The lower body featured a white ruffled short skirt and ankle-length mid-calf socks, which, combined with black and red high-heeled short boots, made the overall lines look much sharper. The headpiece and black gloves served as key details, beautifully echoing the style that blends cyber and classical elements.

For makeup and hair styling, to match the theme of this outfit, a low-saturation pale pink hair color was selected, and highlighters were added to the face to make the skin tone look more translucent and natural. The expressions also struck a balance between playfulness and mystery, rather than blindly maintaining a single emotion.

During the shooting process, I am deeply grateful for the creativity and execution of the photographer and store manager, DD. To break away from the conventional feeling of standing steadily, quite a few low-angle and tilted perspectives were tried during composition. I cooperated with these angles by doing actions like holding an umbrella, jumping, or leaning backward, controlling my body's center of gravity to give the frame a weightless dynamic tension. For lighting, we preserved the warm tone inclination of the studio's main light source, letting the soft pink-purple aura naturally fall onto the hair, white bare shoulders, and skirt hem, forming layered transitions with the deep red environment.

This cosplay creation is a tangible interpretation of March 7th from Honkai: Star Rail under the "Evernight" style. We attempted to capture her seemingly lively and agile nature, yet set against this complex dark and red scene, she also carries a hint of quietness and detachment. The final photos found a satisfying visual landing point in the color balance between deep red and pinkish-white. I hope these cinematic frames can deliver the unique ambient charm of this theme.
